This tool works great for working on a DPS6 clutch, either unlocking a new clutch or a previously installed clutch which was locked with the locking tool. It doesn’t see crazy torques so it should last a while. Even if it doesn’t the price is reasonable for a specialty tool like this.

It fit perfectly into a ford Taurus transmission (B) actuator allowing me to access the actuator to spin and unlock. Then the car had reverse, gears 2, 4 and 6.

This was the first time I worked on this car. Ford focus that has all these “known†issues I was not aware of. Bought it for my son, it is automatic for him, and manual for me. This tool helped me to get the fork in this dual clutch system unstuck and get the actuator working AND was able to remove the error codes. It drives better than when I bought it. I am soooo glad they sell this tool like this, otherwise I would have had to buy or rent a specialized kit for replacing the clutch. Just to have access to this tool. THANK YOU. You saved me 500$

As the title suggests, someone used mine before it arrived and I doubt it was the shipper.
The tool though is really well made and worked perfectly for the 20 minutes I had to use it. It seems like it will last through many lifetimes of use before failure as well. If you get an actual new one I don’t doubt it would be useful for many different clutch jobs on your little ford.
By the way, if your car is slamming into gear and then saying something about the clutch or transmission fluid, it’s probably stuck shift forks and you’ll need this tool to move them back and forth to clean them off.
