The heat this summer compromised the plastic clip on my ZeeHoo charger. The charger worked but it wouldn’t stay in the vent. Anyway, this had a similar design with the ball joint and washer which made it a 2 minute install. If your clip broke like mine did then buy this.

The replacement clip is better than what came with my phone holder. This thing is great and very sturdy to hold your phone or other device. It is priced right and I highly recommend purchasing one if you are tired of your current clip not hold your device.

So far so good. I’ve bought versions of these for my Galaxy Fold 4. All keep breaking from the weight after 6 months. Let’s see how this one goes.

Just to clarify, this was purchased for use with the iHome Magnetic Wireless Charging Air Vent Car Mount. Much sturdier than the mount that came with the device, and the ball socket is compatible with it. I could have replaced the entire charger, but instead I upgraded the weak point.

Quality built, the little red hook is metal, so you don’t have to worry about it breaking. How profile so it doesn’t stick out too much. We had more expensive OEM Garmin GPS vent mounts that broke after a couple years.

This is a nice way to establish a mounting point on an air vent in the car. In my case, I am using this to hold a magnetic charging pad for my phone – attached via the universal ball.
The clip itself is primarily plastic. The mounting mechanism is actuated by a large wheel and rachets into place, holding the clip to the air vent. The base of the clip provides stability by pressing against the face of the air vent. The only caution I would provide would be that this clip will work best on air vents without curvature as it counts on the base to press against the face of the vent. In my case, the clip appears to work quite well.
I took a star off because the tip of the mechanism that has to go into the air vent is the thickest portion of the clip, and would not fit into the vent. I was able to lightly bend the air vent vanes so it would pass through. This is another caution, however. If your car has rigid vanes that a closely spaced, this solution may not work for you.
I look forward to continuing use and seeing how this item performs over time.

I’ve bought over 3 air vent mounts from ZeeHoo and they all fail in no time. They work very good at first but the build quality is poor!
