This was the crank sensor not cam sensor both are the same minus the plug. Had to order it again but a cam sensor. So I guess now I have a new crank sensor installed as well.

Before you sale it .. my advice is you have to figure the part fit in some outback’s ,Subaru have different engines size ..2.5 L , 3.0 and 3.5L .. my Subaru is 2008 3.0 don’t fit the part.

I just installed the new sensor, and it works as it is supposed to work. The error code did not come back and the car feels as strong as before I had the issue with the sensor. It is early to tell how long is going to last but great so far.
