I bought this sensor as an alternative to paying $80 for a Bosch sensor at an auto parts store. Bosch is the OEM equivalent. After I installed the sensor my car ran like trash and threw a p0343 error code. I replaced it with a Bosch sensor I got from Amazon for 42 bucks and the car runs flawlessly. Don’t waste your time buying this as replacing the sensor itself is a headache

Perfect..installation on YouTube helped me out a great deal to put this in my 2001 VW Jetta 2.0L. My car had check engine light and code pointed to the Camshaft position sensor. $15 on here vs $50-$100 autozone. So far so good will see how long it lasts I hope very long. I can now go past the 3000rpm mark and no check engine light.

My Volkswagen was messing up pretty bad and stalling out. The new sensor works great and my car is cured of its malfunctions.

The old one was looking rusty and cruddy.

The connector on our original camshaft sensor deteriorated and cracked while I was removing it during a timing belt replacement. This part fit perfectly and has been working well so far – no engine codes! Be aware that you have to remove the timing belt and camshaft sprocket to replace this part.
