So my daughter got me a z fold 5 for my birthday. Needed a new phone holder. I have a jeep wrangler so the vent mount option forsythia l doesn’t work however i know that ball joint on the back is fairly universal size so i mounted it to the existing phone holder mount. My case also has the hinge protector so besides needing a holder wide enough i need it deep enough this was the only holder that would work with the hinge protector case. Overall I’m pleased with it just wish it felt sturdier. I will add pics if i can later
UPDATE: HAVE been using it almost 6 months now and still working great. It took a little getting used to but so did going from an s8+ to a fold 5……i would recommend this holder even though the vent clips were useless in my wrangler, i was able to hook it up to the holder i bought for my dash tray. I may buy another one just to have as a back up if necessary.

This mount does not securely hold my bare Samsung Fold Z6 when unfolded. It just balances on the four arms—not safe for driving. While it fits when the phone is folded, that defeats the purpose. I bought this mount specifically to hold my device unfolded. Description needs to be more accurate. Not recommended for Fold Z6 users.

Two different vent mounts are included, the swing-arm mount is great for larger car interiors although there’s more vibration and shake while under way. It’s easy to switch from open to closed use by expanding the arms and the mount is smaller and less intrusive than others with the larger pad style when not in use.
I purchased one mount to use in my pickup truck and after that proved successful I purchased another for my smaller car. With the two mounts I could have installed the smaller mount in the smaller car and just moved the mount itself, however the fit on the ball joint is quite tight so it wasn’t workable moving it back and forth.
Make certain that the ball joint is locked down before getting underway, especially on bumpy roads or else the mount can pitch downwards and eject your phone.

This holder is just to cheaply made top hold a table or bigger phone like my fold 6 phone. The vent holder also moves around and doesnt lock the phone in place. My phone was falling out all the time. Just not good enough.

I bought this for use with my Caka phone case with pen and it works very nicely. It holds the phone in place and has a great load in/take out way of getting the phone in position.
The assembly for attaching to the vents is the best I’ve seen. It is also solid enough that once you’ve adjusted it to where you want the phone positioned, it holds its set-up. I listed this as having great suction power, but I am ranking it based on its attaching to the air vents. IMO, suction phone mounts are evil, vile, and do not work.
If you aren’t using a case with the pen, you could probably use the other version. Without the case on, it still works but isn’t as tight a fit. This is my favorite phone holder ever. It looks cute, reminds me of the old Saint, tv show.

this product initially worked really well. held my galaxy fold 4 securely in place.
now the knuckle that’s attached to the vent is weak. it does not secure the phone in place. any bumps on the road make the phone move and gets me nervous the phone could fall down. any attempt to tighten the knuckle against the vent does not work..

customer service sent a new one – the knuckle is secure and works perfectly. updated from 2/5 to 4/5 stars (5/5 for excellent customer service+speedy shipping)

I just received the holder and installed it in my car with little problem, it’s very easy to understand how to do it. It thankfully is able to hold my Fold 4 with no problem though since I have a leather portfolio type of phone case, it doesn’t fit very well. One big flaw to the holder is the part that grips onto the ball joint is just smooth plastic so it has little ability to grip the ball. Therefore with a heavy phone, it sags as I go over bumps in the road. I’m going to try and coat the ball with rubber or glue/sand to give the holder the ability to hold the ball. Other than this flaw, I actually like the product.
