I had some individual SLA UPS batteries that were shelved too long after last use and were down to less than 1 volt. Apparently that low is out of range for the metering system that cycles this charger’s indicator color, as it stayed green the first day, but checking with probe showed the charging voltage. I do not know what the charging amp rate was during that time, but after a day and a half, the indicator turned red, and the charging voltage remained. Able to push voltage into these very dead batteries, so if there’s any chance of rehabbing them, it’s with this charger. A different 2 amp charger I tried would fault out (too much amperage for these batteries). While it’s not fast, it’s as fast as these batteries can accept. Other trickle chargers wouldn’t even start on the less than 1 volt battery. Happy with the purchase, well, the replacement.

I picked it up to attempt to salvage 2 9AH cells and after 36hrs on the charger one cell finally started reading 10.6V after disconnection. Another 24 hours on the charger and the cell was reading 13V. I did not ever notice the light ever change color from green though. We’re attempting to recover the other cell right now, hopefully it’ll be just as lucky.

The tab on one of the connections broke off right after the 30 day return window. Then, for no apparent reason, it would no longer charge the 12v 7ah batter that I bought for my diesel heater. I had to break out my old car battery charger to run it on. It’s just junk. No other way to describe it.
