It was easy to install like any other lift gate. It didn’t fit quite as snug as the original lift gate on the steel ball. Hydraulics is very stiff, almost too stiff. You really have to apply pressure to the trunk to close it. However, it opens almost on it’s own.

I have never replaced any part on any vehicle in my life. I was irritated with our local auto supply store so decided to order the parts myself. First of all, I get two lift supports online for less than one at the auto store. Two, I watched three different YouTube videos to make sure I could do this. Three I actually order the right part for my 2009 chevy impala and I remove the old supports and install the new ones in less than 5 minutes. And lastly, the parts arrive to Fairbanks, Alaska in less than a week. I don’t know how long they will last but I am ecstatic that I was able to do all this myself!!!

While the struts fit and worked, one failed at the mounting point separating from the shaft. I have only bought the two major brand names with these. Would like the seller to replace the items and will update the review if customer service is better than the product.

Purchased for the trunk of my Impala. I had to remove the plastic trim piece that surrounds the piston. Doesn’t effect how it works, it’s just there to make It more eye appealing. Work like a charm, easy to go up, but a little tough coming back down to close. But that nothing to complain about.
