Would not compress enough to get belt installed. Had to reinstall old part to drive car.
Carpus –
The external measurements were good. I proceed to install. THE BELT WON’T FIT AFTER FULLY COMPRESSING THE TENSIONER. This is a two minutes task for me and after three hours of disbelief I abandoned the job for the day. Remove the tensioner the following day and compressed it in a vice and compared the measurement to the old part. This new tensioner does not compress sufficiently to allow the belt to be installed…..Had to put the old one back for now and order oem.

I spent two days trying to figure out why i couldn’t get the accessory belt on the car. Tried every which way. Different belts, different angles. Finally I went and bought a different tensioner. After 1 try the belt slipped on with ease. The tensioner was not allowing enough slack to be able to put the belt on
