They have the best balance of air flow with fine particle filtration of all air filters. Some filters have better flow but don’t filter anything. I use Wix in all my cars.

I like that it fit like the original OEM filter. Independent testing indicated that this is a good quality filter that is effective. Pricing is comparable to other name brands and less than a Toyota OEM from the dealership parts department. I know my engine was breathing better after installation, because it shifted into fourth gear sooner when warming up then it did with the old dirty filter. My O2 sensors released the overdrive lockout sooner when engine was cold, this indicates to me a better air fuel mixture was responsible.

Construction of this filter seems top notch. Fits gen 5 Camry 4 cyl.
There is no air flow marking, which tripped me up until I realized: the filter only fits in one way. 3 corners are rounded and one is pointy. Rotate or flip filter to line up pointy corner of the filter with the pointy corner of air box.

CONTRARY to Amazon saying that this particular Wix filter NOT fitting the 2012 Toyota Highlander V6, per the Official Wix Website it DOES, and I can attest to the fact that this is an EXACT FIT for the 2012 Toyota Highlander V6 (I don’t know about the 4 cylinder version, so check the Wix website).
One of the beauties of the Toyota Engineering, is that the Air Filter can go in properly one way, and ONE WAY ONLY!! IF you’re having to “force” your airbox enclosure closed, then double-check that you properly installed it!!
I purchased this Wix Air Filter, as it was rated very high by “Project Farm” (YouTube), who does a lot of testing on a variety of products. I was also able to purchase this Wix Filter for $11 + some change, so I felt it was an excellent value in light of the superior air filtration it offered.
Again, this model of the Wix Air Filter WILL FIT a 2012 Toyota Highlander V6, BUT, make certain that you install it properly, as one corner of the filter is different than the other 3, and you MUST have it properly configured in your airbox before attempting to mate the top lid of your airbox to the bottom half….
