Rather than saving a few bucks on a FRAM air filter, why not spend a few more bucks for piece of mine and get the best OEM filter available? Unless it’s a lease, then who cares. Stick with the one that came with the car for 3 years.

Used for 2022 Civic Sedan. Fits well, simple to replace. No issues, car smells better now! Good value, and filter material is good quality like all Wix filters.

The filter looked like the stock Honda one it replaced in my 2011 Insight. The Amazon description doesn’t state this, but the Wix box says it’s a “Bioshield 75” filter. Hope the Bioshield is worth the extra $10 over the TYC filter, any extra pollen filtering is always nice.

Like most people, I try to save money and do as many hardware projects WITHIN MY ABILITIES that I can!
For casual things like changing lightbulbs, light/power switches, and electrical outlets around the home, I’d feel like an idiot paying some else $40-$100 to do that for me.
I think car cabin air filters fall with the category “I should do it for myself” because A) it’s much easier than most electrical work and B) it’s a LOT cheaper to buy the part and install it myself.
Video tutorials for replacing car cabin air filters are easily available online! I found at least 2 YouTube tutorials that cover air filter replacement in Honda Civics like my model. These videos run less than 15 minutes; that time investment will save you at least $40 if not more in parts & labor!
I bought this part on the recommendation of a mechanic; it’s practically the same cabin air filter your dealership installs in the car. Honest people will tell you to stay close to OEM specs of air cabin filters. If you buy a filter that is “TOO good” you run the risk of wearing out your A/C motor quicker because it will have work harder with a higher-rated (captures more particulates) filter. This same is true for running the highest-rated filters in your home A/C system. You have to balance filter performance versus the kind of air filter your air conditioning system is rated for!

When I went to install this the cabin door wasn’t clicking shut. When I compared it to the Honda filter I removed it noticed it was about 1/2″ longer than the stock cabin filter. I had to kind of smoosh it in for it to close. I don’t think I’ll buy this one again. I’ll find a stock one on ebay or here on Amazon. Wix makes great filters, but not this cabin filter.
