The fit and finish of the adaptor shows it was manufactured with care. Operation of this wireless adaptor is practically plug and play!! Insert the adaptor into the vehicle’s USB port, and set your phone to Bluetooth. When you see the device appear on the phone, it is paired with your car, truck, or SUV!!! Set up might take 5 to 10 seconds the first time the adaptor is paired. Once paired, your adaptor will connect to your vehicle automatically every time you start the engine!! This is an Amazon Vine review of the Visit the LuDoDo Store Wireless CarPlay Adapter,2 in 1 Mini Size Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto Adapter,Plug & Play Wireless CarPlay Dongle – No Cables Needed for Cars 2016.
This is actually a pretty nifty device. It literally was plug and play with my 2022 Subaru Ascent and an Android One Plus 8 as well as an Apple iPhone 16 Pro.
The first connection did take a little bit of time to sync on both devices, but after that, it pretty much connects to the last connected device in about 10 seconds. Also noting that I did not need to enter a verification code on either of the phones either, despite what the instructions daid.
Once connected, the audio quality is really nice and all of the apps (maps, Pandora, Spotify, etc.) work just like they do when attached directly via a USB cable. So far, so good!
And, the best part of all, and the reason I got this, was because USB cables constantly lose connectivity to Apple Car Play and Android Auto in this car. I thought it was the cars USB ports, but it is actually on the phone connector side and I can’t fix it no matter how much I clean the phone ports or swap different cables.
This absolutely fixes that problem so I’m happy!
Two things to note though, which is why I could only give 4 stars.
1. In this car, using the wireless adapter makes the other USB port unusable. I did try moving the adapter and using different cables, but I simply don’t have room to plug in a cable because the adapter takes up the space needed and there’s no way I’m going to try and force it.
That means I can’t charge the phone unless I use a 12v cigarette adapter or one of the 2nd row USB ports. I’m ok with that, but beware if your console USB ports are close like mine and don’t have other charging options.
2. My wife’s iPhone has those EMF blocking stickers on it. When she is the passenger and playing music through the device, there are small drops in audio here and there while she is holding her phone or it’s in her purse on the floorboard.
Since it only happens on her phone,we realized it was because the EMF stickers reduce the signal and can cause the Audi to cut out of the phone is too far away. Simply putting the phone closer to the wireless adapter seems to resolve the issue. If we lay the phone near the adapter, the audio drops are no longer an issuesl.
I don’t think this is the fault of the adapter, but it is a limitation to be aware of. Overall, I’m good with the trade off of having to use our 2nd row USB for charging.

Great little device. Tested with both Android Auto (With after market device) and Apple iPhone (14) in a Toyota Sienna (Wired only Car Play in this model). The Device was quick and responsive. The setup was easy, pair via Bluetooth and Car Play launched, no frills or issues. The initial screen is very basic (See attached) that shows the Device Name, would like to see the security code shown on the car screen that matches the one on the phone, but it does not.
Overall Maps (Google on my iPhone) worked cleanly and without issue. On Android similar basic setup page with device name and it just works…
I previously has an older device that converts android auto to a car that only supports CarPlay, This device does not do this as it is a simple wired to wireless device. The speed of this device is much faster to connect that my previous device, but in line with similar newer devices.
Box this item ships in is simple, amazon delivered very fast and it just works after plugging in.. As much as technology often gets in the way with complicated options or setup, this one is plug in and forget.
Simple is good, simple and works as described. Device is small as well.
