The Wireless CarPlay adaptor works well. It connects easy enough and connects automatically when I enter the car with my phone. It does not connect instantly though, and the connection time is highly variable – anywhere from about 10 seconds to about 60 seconds. Another small issue is that it has a flashing blue light when connected, that can be distracting at night unless hidden or covered.
The charger mount, however, is not too good. I could not find anywhere where it would mount, without it being very shaky. The touch controls to open and close are cool in theory, but in practice are a real pain – I’m constantly opening and closing when trying to adjust the phone or mount. The mount also does not work well with a case. I ended up throwing the mount in the trash.
Since this is a bundle, I’m only going to give it 3 stars. The price has also gone up considerably since I purchased it, and I feel there are better values out there.

Just plug in the Dongle and open your Bluetooth Menu on your Phone and connect – it was that simple. The Mag Safe Charger needs a 2nd port in your car (we use the Aux port for this) and it was very easy to hang and tighten the holder into the Air Vent Slot. Drop in your phone for a snug fit and it charges wirelessly.

The wireless CarPlay works great. It was a simple plug in and you connect to the Bluetooth. The phone charger isn’t good though. My phone kept popping up that it was charging and it never charged. I’m talking about every few mins it was saying charging and then it would turn off. It’s sad because the holder is cute and I like it but it’s basically just a phone holder and nothing more.

I have a never 2024 Honda Civic that doesn’t have the option to do wireless carplay. This can be annoying as it adds to the pile of cables that I have in my car. The setup was super easy and it worked perfectly with my iPhone 14 pro. The system automatically connects to my phone when I start up my car. For the cost of the device, this is super convenient to have.

We got this duo mainly because we wanted the Android Auto adapter, but we especially like the Mag Safe Charger Mount. I put it in my husband’s car expecting it would mainly be used by me because he usually keeps his phone in his briefcase, but he really likes it too. It looks stylish and functions very reliably. We initially had trouble getting the charger to give the phone back, and the directions weren’t clear to me initially, but after figuring it out on our own I did go back and find it mentioned in the directions. Basically I have to put my finger directly behind the top of the charger. It took us a while to figure it out because other actions sometimes seem to cause the charger to liberate our phones, but never when we didn’t want it; our phones are very secure in this mount; both his iPhone 14 and my Pixel 7 Pro.
The Android Auto adapter LED faces downwards when I plug it in directly so I have to use the included mini USB extension to be able to see the LED in my Kia Soul EV. I had no problem connecting the adapter to Bluetooth, however I seem to have trouble with the setup recognizing when it can open Android Auto and making it available whenever I bring my phone into the car and start the car. Sometimes the Soul EV shows Android Auto as not being available to select. I’ve found that if I unplug the adapter and plug it back in, it seems to bring up the Android Auto icon on the screen for me to select, but otherwise I can be driving several minutes before it tries to resume Android Auto. My feeling is that it should try to do that automatically. The FAQ (which is spelled FQA as a clue to the quality of these instructions) mentions instructions for “Unable to automatically connect” but it appears to be addressing being able to automatically connect to Blutooth, which it appears to be doing just fine. It’s the Android Auto app it seems to have trouble connecting to, not Blutooth. Since I’m fairly new to Android Auto and therefore don’t feel like I’m in a terribly good position to troubleshoot, I’m mainly happy with the quick easy unplug/replug workaround. Once connected to Android Auto, the whole setup: my Pixel 7 Pro, this adapter, and my Kia Soul EV work great with very little lag or difficulties. At one point the sound wasn’t connected to my phone and I had trouble getting it to reconnect while the car was on, but it came back the next time the car was turned on. At this point I think the Android Auto adapter is working well enough until I find out about something that works better or figure out how to make this one work better. The reader is advised to take this review with a grain of salt as I really have very little clue what problems are caused by the phone vs the car vs the adapter itself, and therefore it would not be fair to blame the adapter exclusively or even primarily for my difficulties. I do feel entitled to deduct a star for less than fully useful troubleshooting instructions, however.
