Amazon Customer –
First order was damaged and I had to return it. Then my second order was even worse.

Works well so far. Has been on my car for about 5 months. Check engine light went off I did a complete tune up as well. Running well and back to good MPG! Awesome!
Rafael M Koike –
I purchased the Toyota OEM catalytic converter a few weeks ago. But was the wrong part number, and it didn’t fit the exhaust pipe. I decided to give a chance to use an aftermarket catalytic converter and purchased this one.
The converter is working! (At least from the past five days)
What I found that I want to share is:
– The box didn’t come with padding, foam or any kind of protection. This, of course, led to a bent bolt in the first picture. Nothing that you can’t fix with a pier. Just get the OEM heat shield. Put it, aligning the holes and screwing the bolts a little bit just to keep in place and it will fit perfectly.
Some other reviewers mentioned bad alignment of the heat shield, that may make you think this part is designed wrong. This is not the case. The part is designed correctly. But because the box doesn’t protect well the product, it may get bent during the transportation and lead to this misalignment.
– Gasket. Yes, there is a good chance that your gasket arrive bent or damaged. It is a metallic paper gasket and mine come a little bent. Nothing that I need to replace. But again, the package of the converter has arrived without any wrap paper, airbags or foam. The bottom of the catalytic converter connects to the exhaust pipe. There is another gasket there that does not come with this product. Check if you can re-use the gasket or if you need to buy a new one. There should be no leaks in this connection.
– Nuts and bolts. You can reuse the same nuts and bolts in this converter. They fit perfectly. But if you have an issue with destroyed nuts and bolts when removing the original catalytic converter. The two bolts on the bottom of the catalytic converter are M10x1.25. (I have to purchase two new nuts because the original one got the threads destroyed)
– Assembling. Screw all the nuts and bolts, but do not tight them yet. Make sure the bottom is aligned correctly and then start tightening the nuts. The manifold five screws if you look from left to right and number them: 1 (bottom left), 2 (top left), 3 (center), 4 (top right) and 5 (bottom right)
They should be tightened in this order:
– 3 (center)
– 2 (top left)
– 4 (top right)
– 1 (bottom left)
– 5 (bottom right)
Don’t go all the way tightening all of them, do a little bit of each one, until all of them are at the same specs (It should be around 30 to 36lb/ft)
Also, when you finish the installation and turn on the car for the first time. It is normal that a lot of smoke will come out of the converter. It arrived embedded in oil (probably to protect against rust).
So, let it burn the oil for a few minutes and take a ride to test.
Overall, it is a good catalytic converter. No engine lights so far

Fit and worked as advertised

It’s just thrown in a box..so manifold gasket is destroyed. I.had to buy another one.
Comes with nothing else. You.Will.need the donut gasket for the bottom connection..also it does not come with manifold bolts, but I resused the factory ones.
Master Technician –
Fit perfectly, removed my check engine light, and has improved my MPG. Installation wasn’t too difficult, however I was required to use the OEM upper shield and screws.

The part came on time. The part was missing bolts to bolt the flanges up. Had to go to O’Reillys and purchase bolts and gasket to make the part work. Other than that part seems to have been well-made.

The manifold to engine plate is 3/8 inch thick, more solid than the factory; for zero leaks and a solid attachment. The stock photographs are incorrect. The converter has front and rear heat shields welded in place. The factory upper and lower heat shield bolted in ok (with a little persuasion). All the mounts lined up perfectly with zero issues on my 2007 Camry SE 2.4l. The shipping department is a joke. They filled the box with plastic balloons and tossed a sharp heavy steel converter with slice and dice heat shields. Only 8 balloons made it. Did they never hear of heavy density foam or paper, anything but thin wall poppable balloons – such a joke. The manifold gasket is all that is included, NO nuts, bolts, or exhaust pipe gasket. The manifold gasket was pretty beat up by the bouncing steel hammer, but with a little love was usable. you may wish to have a plan B for gaskets. Love the converter, quiet and very well made.
