I ordered the Amazon “Used-Like New” one that came from an Amazon warehouse. It had been installed at some point and I assume it didn’t work for them either. This one was reading air flow when the engine was off. I know this because I have a reader that shows real time info.

Once installed it works GREAT……HOWEVER………as is with MANY Chinese parts, the fit was TERRIBLE. You need to sand it down a bit so the connector will go ALL THE WAY ON!! do this BEFORE final assembly!

Worked easy install bit came with unit to replace MAF Soon as I installed it and erased error code from computer P171 P0174 code of Ford Ranger never returned. Or so I thought turned out was not calibrated correctly to Ford for 1998 4.0 it gradually kept getting worse and worse in weird ways. I put up with it even put new one in of same brand where it also worked ok then over time degrated to throwing codes checked and replaced everything to this P0171 174 code. it would be ramdomly fine then throw rich code setting check engine nobody could figure it out since I changed MAF twice. Finally i was thinking I replaced all the parts with Ford OEM except MAF out of a hunch I bought a used MAF Ford from vendor. I put it in and after 2 years of dealing with trying to find whats causing issue it was the after market MAF its been working fine for year now in fact its been perfect. both MAF from this manufacturer did same thing on my Ranger and old used one by Ford it to this day runs perfect.. Lesson learned with Knock off parts for me
