Instructions are vague and do not mention heat application for curiosity. The top-rear quarter of my muffler rusted out. Wrapped in aluminum foil and fastened wire mesh with zipties. Used a paddle spreader to cover the mesh. Drove it gently two miles and let it idle for 15 minutes to start the curing process, then let it sit overnight. Unsure how long it’ll last, but very impressed with the texture, spreadability and curing time. Large tube. Shipping slow but worth the wait.

Needed to fix a hope by the muffler and the catalytic converter. This tube is big enough to get the job done. So far the patch has held up well.
Its a bit cold in my area so I used a heat gun to warm the area. Seems to adhere well. I hope it works long term because this product is a much better price compared to other tiny tins.

Works great but this is you need your exhaust fixed works like it should

The media could not be loaded.

I loved the ease of use, I drove my car to run some errands, pulled it up on ramps while the exhaust system was still hot, put on some rubber gloves, and you just apply it to where you need it. I put it on my flange since it was poorly welded on, cured for the most part. Just giving it 24 hours to fully seal and harden. So far the exhaust sounds fine and there’s no leaking sound. I will be coming back in a week to leave an update after daily use. Been one week, solid as hell no smell no leaks at all rock solid after one week. Love the way the application looks. Seems solid.

Better instructions would be nice. I wire brushed, ran the car to heat the exhaust and then turned off and applied. My application was in bends near the muffler so it had a decent amount of metal to curl into. I ran a small electric heater on it for several hours after applying and also took some passes with a heat gun. Then I let it sit overnight and my results were very good. After a day of driving I reapplied a skim coat to fill some expansion cracks and heated and let it dry for a few hours and all is holding up. I do not think I needed to re-apply but my repair was a little thick and I figured why not.
To measure drying time, I tested using a chuck of the putty and exposing it to heat to get an idea of the drying times. It was a very worthwhile simple test. Do not skip heating, it absolutely needs to be heated to cure.

Resonator Chev Equinox 3/4″ hole in top back seam. Have not used this material before but based on previous experiences with repairs using any type of epoxy or putties how long they will hold up is a crap shoot unless they are reinforced with some other type material.

Wire brushed area as best I could (very confined area between resonator in car floor).

Applied first layer of putty into hole to fill it and cover an area of approximately 1 inch wide by 2 inches long with proximally 1/8 inch thick layer of putty.

I then liberally applied putty to one side of a piece of 2″ wide x 4″ long fiberglass exhaust wrap. Which I then applied on top of the putty covering the hole.

Product directions are minimal. Number of people here have said best results occur if you preheat area and then apply putty. I did not do this but it’s been very hot here (100 degrees). Initial inspection after approximately ten hours everything very solid.

Next day 6 hour trip. No more exhaust leak.

  7. Don bryant

Like other exhaust cements, it will seal, but will disintegrate from vibrations. Not sure if there is a product that will withstand high heat and extreme vibrations.

  8. Nathan Robinson

This will seal any small cracks or seams or gaps rockhard when assembling your pipes.

  9. Seph

    handy thing, saving money

  10. Nathan Robinson

Great price and value for the money. In stores this product is double price. Lite weight and quality. easy to apply and dries fast . Works great for temp fix.
