Every Spring we go around the house and spray down the windows both from the inside and outside. We get pretty jaded about cleaning our windows until we try to look out one and realize we can barely see anything below a certain height because of all the smudges left on them by kids fingers and pup noses pressing up against them (from the inside).
This vinegar-based cleaning fluid worked as well as any Windex-style product, and it has the added benefit of fewer chemicals, so when our pups and kiddos return to those windows to make a new art installation of smudgy glass, we don’t need to worry about harmful chemical residue left behind.
Also, the minty scent left behind is definitely preferable to the chemical smell of Windex.
***Overall Value***
Yeah, it’s more expensive than Windex at $16 a bottle (at time of review) which is why we only use it in rooms where we’re pretty sure the pups and kiddos will be actively pressing their faces against the windows.

I am very thankful. I tested this on another surface before trying to use this in my car. I don’t think that the The scent used mixes well with the vinegar because all I could smell is pickles. I will say that it does clean glass very well and have since been using it to clean my reading glasses dissipate fairly quickly, but I still wouldn’t want to use it in any small area like a car.

So yeah, this product does just appear to be diluted vinegar with some mint added in. The result is not unpleasant though. And I was actually surprised to find that it did a great job on windows. Man, I have been trying a bunch of different window cleaners for my car lately… and they are all mostly terrible. The interior of the windshield is the toughest. Some of these “professional” cleaners leave crazy, oily streaks. But I am happy with the Carvida product. It seems to remove the streaks that others have left behind.

This vinegar based spray cleans glass pretty well. We have had a lot of pollen and rain lately and the glass still ends up sticky after a washout. This has helped us clean off the pollen and sometimes sticky tree pollen/sap that gets deposited on the windshield of the car. The vinegar smell is not overpowering which dissipates and there is a light mint scent to it.

I was a little skeptical on the dash/window combo here but it preforms really well. It left minimal streaking on my windows after just one pass and pretty much none after the clean dry cloth follow up. It also did a great job on my dashboard top and screens around my speedometer. When cleaning these it didn’t leave any film and just letting it lay down on the surface for a few seconds kept me from having to really dig into the surface basically at all as it just came up from easy wiping. This is a great double cleaner and I liked using it a lot.
