Years ago I used to run a separate pressure switch and relays for my onboard air, and had to replace them once a year, mostly due to exposure to elements. This Viair self-contained unit was suggested by a friend, and I bit the bullet.
It lasted just a little over 15 years, and this purchase is the exact same unit – perfect replacement. Think about that. 15 years. I cannot quite fathom it, but it happened. So once the old one went out, I ordered this one. Direct fit, perfect replacement, and my air is running great again!

Mine went out so I got this took about 5 minutes to replace

I have a HornBlasters Conductor Special that I love on my Ford F350. It quit working about 2 months out of warranty. I traced the problem to this part and replaced it cheaply myself. The wires are marked well. The horn is my “anti-driving-while-texting-device”. Works well…

Viair makes good stuff, and this is no exception. Quality is good, but I’ve been through two of these and both lasted about two years apiece. I think it is the relay that finally gives up, but no real complaints here. The combo pressure switch/relay protected my compressors and tank, i.e., they did their job right to the end, so no real complaints here.

Bought this to replace a faulty one on my train horn setup from Hornblaster’s (conducter’s special 232 150psi kit.) The original was installed by my incompetent mechanic that both installed it upside down and exposed to elements, in direct opposition to the instructions I read at a later time. Pulled the old one off and condensation from the tank had leaked into the valve and corroded it, preventing compressor from turning on at times, and also causing it to not shut off at others. Instead of trusting my incompetent mechanic again, I swapped this out myself in about 15 minutes, including splicing a few wires and finding all my tools my wife hides from me. Horn kit works perfect again. 1st one lasted me 2.5 years, so I’m guessing this one will too, as its the exact replacement. My mechanic is only half incompetent, as installing it out of elements and right-side up would’ve caused a lot more drilling into the body and ugliness. Ill take swapping this switch out every 2.5 years over my truck looking like crap with hoses sticking up all over, or doing a spare tire delete, which is a dumb idea.

My horn blaster hasn’t worked for months thinking it was compressor but this fixed the issue. I had the original one for several years let’s see how long this one last.
