I purchased an aftermarket blower, installed it, and there was very little velocity in air flow. I purchased this Valeo blower for my 2006 Mercedes Benz ML350 and it was a perfect fit with strong air flow. Now my AC/Heat no longer runs continuously and I can turn it ON and OFF. Lesson learned…, buy the brand that is recommended as OE parts especially if your car is a Benz. Hope this review helps. Best of luck!

Thanks to VERY poorly designed air intakes on the ML350, these blower motors are prone to water getting into them and corroding/shorting it out. We had one fail at 25K, which shorted because of water and stayed ON, killing the battery. That was replaced under warranty. So I began putting a cover over the air intake when I could, This helped prolong the inevitable for about 100K but again it eventually failed due to water damage(at least this time it just doesn’t work and didn’t run all night and kill the battery).
So, rather than pay the Mercedes prices, I found a great video showing how easy it was to change and found this fan to purchase. It was a perfect fit for the existing one, simply drop the underneath cover, pull the plugs out, remove 4 screws and out comes the fan. I put this in and it started right up when I turned the fan on.
It works great, very quiet and blows as strong as the old one. Saved me quite a few bucks buying this and doing it myself.

It’s made in Europe by Valeo, the OEM manufacturer for this part for Mercedes.
Since it’s the OEM supplier it fits perfectly. It has some updates to it that allow it to be less likely to be rendered defective by water intrusion i.e. it has extra drain holes at the bottom of the unit. The original part was rendered non-functional it that the fan ran on its own whether the vehicle was on or off. This was caused by water intrusion into the circuitboard built in to the original blower assembly The unit has a slightly re-designed circuit board cover that allows water flow through more readily .This should allow it to last longer . The fan motor is powerful and quiet.
It’s less expensive here than it would be at the dealer can be installed readily by a competent do it yourself in less than half an hour.
It’s located inside the vehicle under the glove box behind an easily removed panel. This was installed on my 07 ML 500.

Perfect OE part for the MB 2006 r350, about 15 mins to install (8 screws and two port plugs) under the glove compartment. This fixed the issue with the blower running after turning engine off, and the. draining the battery. Cabin temperature accurate and steady after install. One of those parts where it’s probably better to buy OE.

This did not work on my car. But I will say my car may have a wiring issue. And this is the exact oem brand that came on the car. I haven’t figured out what the problem is on my car yet but this wasn’t it. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again.
