This phone holder won’t work for me. There’s not a good angle for my phone to sit on where I can easily see the screen. If I try to have my phone sit upright, it’s almost laying down flat. And to even get it at that angle, the holder has to be on the edge of the dash, and my phone overlaps covering part of my vehicle’s screen. I will not suction it to my vehicle’s screen, as that can damage the display, as well as block use of it. If I use it at all, it might be ok for my makeup vanity mirror, I’ve tried it once and my phone and the holder fell off the mirror.

I feel this is a well-built item, but I see a few things which I would have liked to know prior to purchase. I will give the pros and cons for model XFH-CCC4 and maybe this will help you the best.
Pros:
1. Very well built and comes with good instructions.
2. Finish is well painted and will not scuff with normal usage.
3. Suction on smooth surfaces is extremely strong.
4. Excellent for tight places and minimized profile.
5. Comes with a thin metal circle to place on phones with thick cases or below a certain release model.
6. Very strong adhesion to holder after metal ring is placed on back of protective case. It will not fall when hitting large bumps or potholes in the road. I tested it in a garbage truck going down a highway and no worries at all.
7. Very easy to grab phone off holder and take out of the vehicle, or if someone wants to see your phone sitting in the passenger seat and they grab it. No buttons to push, or connectors to mess with.
8. Very easy to have phone charger cord plugged into while on holder, and the top does spin in a circle 360 degrees to accommodate any circle angle needed.
Cons:
1. Surfaces which have a variation in texture item seems to have difficulty sticking.
2. Cannot have a thick case or risk of fall if you do not put adhesive metal ring on the outside of case. This concerned me because what if I purchased a new phone and case. It only comes with one metal ring so only one person could potentially use it unless they have an updated phone. Or, if they do have an updated phone, then they might have to take their phone out of their case in order to use it.
3. A little difficult to rotate suction cup “tighter/stronger” when not on a surface pressing down.
4. Must be mounted on a surface that is mostly vertical, instead of horizontal, if you want to see it.

I tried this on the tiled backsplash in my kitchen so that I can prop my phone up and watch videos or read recipes while preparing food. First, it’s hard to wind to activate the suction. Second, it’s extremely weak and fell after a few seconds with my phone attached. I tried it on the flat countertop and pulled on it to see if had any strength at all and it released way too easily. And yes I wiped both surfaces clean before trying. This would’ve been really cool if it actually worked .

I unfortunately ordered the wrong item here as I was looking for the one that extends out further but this one turned out to probably be the better purchase as having one with a long extending arm could be potentially distracting for me. It’s pretty nifty that it came with a MagSafe ring for if you don’t have a MagSafe phone, case or are just looking to amplify the magnification.
The adhesive was surprisingly strong and durable and has so far lasted 3 weeks without loosening which is more than I can say for a few previous I’ve owned like this. The magnetic is also pretty strong but that really depends on your phone/case. The first case I had on there were no issues but when I recently changed cases the phone became to slip from even minor disturbances.
Overall I’m pretty happy with this as long as I have the right case on and that’s really not any fault of the product but the crappy case.

This holder doesn’t stick on every surface. I could only get it to stick to my windshield. Everything else is a no go. The knob that turns feels like it would give out in a short period of time so quality is mediocre. When I put my phone on the magnetic part it drops down after a while. I kept having to lift it up so I could see the gps. Not worth the value for me. Maybe for a device that is extremely lightweight.

I was not prepared for how useful this gadget turned out to be. I’ve bought many cell phone suctionholder devices in the past. This is the only one I ended up using every day.
When I first got this suction cup holder I removed my gel case and cleaned the back of my phone with the provided cleaner. They actually advise against textured cell phone cases (and mine is textured) – however, the magnetic ring attached fine to the back of my cleaned cell phone case. The magnet itself works extremely well and has never dropped my phone when it was attached to the swivel.
The swivel itself is extremely useful on a flat surface even when not using the suction. It holds the phone steady, level, and at whatever angle you adjust the phone. I also use the swivel like a giant pop socket when holding my phone.
The dial suction works great too. I usually attach it to whatever surface I’m putting it on first then attach my phone with magnetic ring to the swivel. The suction works really well but it’s important to make sure it’s engaged before you attach your cell to it
Whenever I need to remove my phone from the swivel – it’s easy to do so and the magnetic ring is flat enough that I can still put the phone in my pocket or put my gel case back on it.
This magnetic cell phone suction cup is highly recommended!

This phone holder is very well made and feels durable. The magnetic grip on the phone itself is strong, and the 360° adjustment works great for finding the right angle. However, the suction doesn’t hold well unless it’s on a very smooth surface like a mirror or a screen. It won’t stay in place on most dashboards or slightly textured areas, which limits where I can use it. Great quality, but just be aware it may not work in all the places advertised.
