- 【Memory Saver】 Protect memory during car battery change, prevent reset settings, such as car dashboard information, digital clock, stereo, memory seats, ABS, etc.
- 【Danger of Power Outage】 Replacing the car battery when there is no backup power supply may not only lose various memories of the car, but may also cause display abnormalities. In addition, the restoration may require readjustment at the dealer. With this tool, you don’t have to worry about that.
- 【USB Powered】 The memory protector works with USB power supply. Only a USB mobile power supply with sufficient power is needed to perfectly complete the task of replacing the battery. Compared with similar products that use alligator clips to connect to the backup power supply, it is more stable, more convenient, and greatly reduces the difficulty of operation.
- 【Indicators and Buzzer】The new version of the memory retention period has 3 indicators and 1 buzzer, which can give warnings in many situations. Memory Saver operates in the cab, and battery replacement must be done in front of the vehicle. The buzzer will remind you when the USB power is low, so you can concentrate on your work.
- 【Quality】 This tool is made of new PVC material, eco-friendly material, non-toxic and tasteless. High quality can be guaranteed and a longer service life can be ensured.

Bought 2 of these. Because it worked so good and I needed another one to work on 2 vehicles at once. We’ll after using the first one I order. The next time I went to use it it didn’t work nor did the other one I bought. I have tried them on several vehicles and they do not work at all.

Be careful when using USB battery packs, because this device doesn’t pull enough power to keep the battery back on. Therefore, the battery pack thinks nothing is plugged in and shuts off after a time limit. Not sure if blame goes to the battery pack or this device for not pulling enough power to keep the battery pack awake.

The memory-saver connector setup was purchased almost in hindsight. Each year in California we have to pay the state a “registration fee” to receive a colored sticker that goes on our license plates. This tells the world we’ve made our yearly “tythe” to the California DMV! I have a vintage F150 that only gets driven a few hundred miles a year (and sometimes not even that much!) so I keep a battery-maintainer on it. Before I did this my truck’s battery was often dead when I needed to take it for it’s SMOG Test (don’t get me started). Not having the test done delays completing the “registration” process. The first time this happened I wound up not getting the truck registration for months past its due date, and it was a real hassle because when the battery goes dead, the memory in the truck’s computer loses all of the data history of how its been running. So then it’s necessary to drive it for some time to re-build data for the test. After that I began using a battery-maintainer. I thought I had a full-proof setup to avoid this problem from then on. Well, I was wrong. Although the battery-maintainer did its part, the new battery I installed at the time didn’t do its part! When I went out to take the truck for its SMOG test I found that the battery itself, which was only about a year old had shorted itself internally and was worthless. Guess what happened to the truck’s computer memory. So, I quickly bought a new battery and proceeded to drive it until it had enough history built up to pass the test. Yes, it passed with flying-colors and I got my sticker for the year, but it also left me with the need to avoid this problem, again. That’s where this memory-saver connector comes in. Here’s why: While the battery didn’t have enough power left in it to start the truck, it had more than enough to keep the memory alive (I found it only needs 5 volts to maintain it). So the memory’s history was there, until I had to switch batteries then it was lost. If I had this connector before making the change this entire fiasco could have been avoided. So, despite not having used this memory-saver, I am recommending it, as there’s really no other way to get around a repeat performance!

Will keep all the computers hot when you switch out the battery. Saves time reprogramming as well as keeps your codes and module status. Must have if you’re changing the battery before a State Vehicle Inspection.

The functionality of this device is heavily dependent on the function of the portable battery used. Some portable batteries shut off after periods of low power draw, while others may shut off when there are peaks in power draw. This may cause power to be interrupted during use that causes memory loss even when this device appears to be functioning initially. May be worth trying with a long cord and a wall adapter, but you lose the portability aspect. But when it’s working it can serve as a convenient option. Test the function of your portable battery before purchasing.

Good product I would recommend.

I followed the instructions and it worked perfectly. I used a high capacity plug in charger connector.
