Original factory vs after market part? After market wins by a land slide.
I’m very hopeful. This cannot be worse than the original factory part, there’s just no way. When the tractor was only two years old, the throttle lever stopped working. Had to have the tractor store send a truck out to haul the tractor back to their shop where they could replace it with an original part and send it back – and I had to pay. A lot. for the pickup and delivery.
Apparently, the end of the cable had rusted thus no longer slid in its sheath. Bear in mind even years later, this tractor has never seen rain. The only water to kiss that tractor was when you hook up the garden hose to clean the blades.
So, less than a year after replacing the first one, the second, original factory part goes bad, same problem.
My advice is to get these after-market parts; not only are they cheaper, but they absolutely cannot be worst than the original. Also, stop using that hose hookup thingie to clean the blades.
