    Worked great

I used this to make a fuel transfer pump from a 5 gallon gas can to fill a mini ex with a 1.5 gallon gas tank. I wanted a pump that was not “too much flow”. I did not want to be spilling gas all over the place. This pumps flow is rated at 3-6psi. PERFECT for what I used it for. Tested amperage and it runs well under 2 amps at 12v. Seems durable, time will tell. Will buy again. I am sure it is a little slower than other pumps. I did not want a pump that was alot of flow as it would just splash all over the place. This pump fit my needs perfectly.

Stopped working after about two months. I was suspicious of a $12 fuel pump, so I left the old pump intact. We’ll see how good the customer support is.
I would suggest you save your $12.

I bought this because the price is right didn’t really expect it to work when I needed it but it is working it replaced the mechanical fuel pump in my 68 Chevy that I bought brand new from Amazon that pump just enough fuel to make me think something else was wrong took me forever to figure out I got a bad mechanical fuel pump What a rip off The mechanical fuel pump that this replaced would start out, pumping just fine for a few miles and then pump. Hardly nothing. I was thinking of all kinds of things because everything was brand new and I heard the HEI sport module from China will give you problems. Not performing properly simply maddening, but the electric fuel pump works. I’m happy to drive my truck again.

durability is good, , good fuel transfer, suction is good, flow rate is adaquite, fit well. Use better hose clamps to get a good seal.

Just what I needed to keep the precious juice from spilling when trying to fill toys or mower.
The filler/access holes on some of the toys are hard to hit even for me. The wife would have more on the ground than in the tank. With gas at $5 + a gal. can’t afford to spill a drop.

I took this affordable fuel pump, 15ft of 5/16 fuel hose, some clamps, 16 gauge 2 conductor wire, electrical tape, and a cigarette lighter plug. To make a fuel transfer pump. The factory made pumps that fit fuel cans are too expensive for me. This pumps works good for this purpose.

Just stick the IN hose (short) in the top of fuel can. Put the OUT hose (long) in the fuel tank/filler opening for fuel tank. Then plug in the plug. It starts pumping just as soon as being plugged in to power. After pumping container empty or toy is full. I unplug the power. Pull hose out of fuel can. Letting gravity do it magic as I slowly raise the hose above opening. Fuel remaining in the hose go into fuel tank of toy. Now just remember it will take a few minutes to pump the gas jug empty. But not spilling at drop is worth the wait.

Better than trying to use a funnel and if needed, a filter could be added on either the input or output side. If a person wanted could probably wire to a 12v tool battery or small mower/security system battery. Then just wire in a on/off switch.

I ordered this on 2020 and it is now 2024. I only used this pump maby once a year maby 2 but the last time I needed it it just would not work. I usualy used this to remove fuel out of my Generators when i nolonger needed them at the end of huricane seasion. This time I grabed this pump our of the cabinant and pluged turned on the pump and nothing no sound no suction just sat there. now i do not abuse my tools and take care of them and most look new when i have had them for 10 + years.
If ou are looking for something that you will use every now and again this moight not be the one for you..
when it was working it did a good job pumped hard and never skipped a beat. I hoipe this helps you in making your decision!!!

My use of this fuel pump is probably different from most others. I have a 45 foot toy hauler fifth wheel camper. The generator never worked well from day one. Even after the RV went in for warranty repair. The problem was the generator was being starved for gas. It’s an Onan 5.5KW unit with the fuel pump installed right below the generator in the front of the RV. These toy haulers with generators and two fuel tanks have the tanks installed in the rear of the RV. The built in Onan pump must draw the gas through the 5/16″ fuel line about 40 feet. It’s no wonder RVs like this typically have this kind of problem.

I installed this unit near the gas tanks in the rear of the RV. The RV had 12VDC readily available through the on board “toy” fuel tank, which I never use. I installed a lighted switch inside the small compartment that houses the two rear tanks. The generator runs perfect in this configuration. The universal pump (here for twelve bucks) pushes the fuel just fine all the way to the front of the RV – that was my first diagnostic step in curing the problem. The Onan fuel pump is still hooked up and running when the generator is running. I bought a second one of these universal pumps to have on hand because they are relatively inexpensive.
