I use these to polish up my brass chainmail jewelry. You can get into the smaller spaces using the edge. Puts a new shine to pieces that have tarnished over time. Looks like new afterwards.

i think i like/love these little pads. they really remove tarnish effectively, they are small and easy to handle. i think there are a few draw backs – they are a bit stiff, so getting them into crevasses is not that easy. i also think that as opposed to using a tarnish cloth, which you can use for years and years, once these get used, they don’t work as well and you tend to want to use a new one pretty quickly. also, they tarnish really gets all over your fingers, so i have started to wear thin non latex gloves when i use these, since the tarnish can easily come off on your project, especially if it is light colored, such as leather. i’m glad i found these, and will continue to use them, but they are not going to replace my favorite polishing clothes. if you do try them, be sure to get a few packs, since you will go through them fairly quickly if you do a lot of metal work.

These pre-treated polishing pads are great for removing any amount of tarnish from your silver. At a conveniently-sized 2″ x 2″ square, they’re fast and easy for polishing silver jewelry.
The pads are made of a thin, foam-like material that doesn’t leave any lint or residue behind after polishing. Each pad is bonded with micro-abrasives which don’t leave scratches like steel wool does. Since they’re thin and flexible, the edges of the pad can be used to get into tight places. While they definitely add shine, when I want a very shiny mirror-finish, I finish up with a polishing cloth or buffer.
Besides overall shining of your silver, these pads make a beautiful difference for highlighting the raised (relief) areas of silver metalworks when antiquing/darkening substances such as silver-black or liver of sulfur have been worked into the design.
I keep them stored in a zip-lock bag since they seem to get dried out and don’t work as well when they do. If you use them in an area where you do metal-working, be careful to keep them put away. Metal dust and debris along with other small particles will stick to the surface so that the next time you use the pad, it will scratch rather than polish. Just remember…zip-lock bag.

A friend recommended these polishing pads. I was quite sceptical but decided to give them a try. The results exceeded my expectations! In fact, I’m so impressed I’m writing a review.
They seem to work like a gentle “sanding paper”. Initially, I planned to polish my platinum wedding band. I was pleased it looked great again, so I went through my earrings, and, without much effort, they shine as new now.
The best thing is the way tarnish magically disappears from silver. I’m attaching a picture. The top part shows the difference between the two earrings (one of them has just been polished), and the bottom is the final result.

These are completely awesome!! I make sterling silver jewelry, so polishing cloths are a staple for me. Someone gave me one of these to try, and I was blown away! They work better than any polishing cloth I’ve ever had, and I’ve used them all! I’ve been using the one little square for a couple of months, and it’s still shining silver like it’s brand new. Today I polished up a pair of turquoise and sterling silver earrings that were almost totally black from oxidation (I’ve had them for many years) and they came out looking brand new, with very little effort! The pad is black and gray now, but it’s still polishing.
I bought a couple packs of these and have been including one in the package when I mail jewelry to a customer, and they’ve been so well received that I plan to buy more so I can continue to gift them to my clients, and still have plenty for me.
I highly recommend these to anyone who has silver jewelry, or works with silver.
