Ted Slack –
This is easily the best starter I’ve ever had.
I knew that it was great because the price was less than it cost to ship it.
I’m still trying to figure out what I’ll do with it since I don’t own a vehicle.
When I do, maybe I’ll know what to do with the alternator.

I didn’t have this in use for very long before it started to exhibit symptoms others have mentioned, particularly the fact that I would have to tap it with a hammer to get it to crank the engine over. Now, it doesn’t crank at all. I bought this thing thinking that I was getting a good deal on a decent product, but I am disappointed that I have to replace the starter (again) after only a short period of time. Accessing the starter is not a trivial process, so I would have liked it to have lasted at least a couple years.
I contacted the seller to find out about the warranty. Several people have mentioned that there is a lifetime warranty on it. If that is the case, then it will take a little sting out of the process of replacing it, I suppose.

Item looks pretty cheaply made but seems to work well.

Bought this to get my F150 back on the road. It’s a good aftermarket starter and bolts up with no problems. Seems to have a lot more cranking power than my old one, although to be fair, that one was going out. Saved about 100 bucks compared to the parts store in town, so give it a go.
Update: Almost 12 years later, truck still starts the first time. every time.

Works great
Jack Schmeisser –
purchased this for a friend to install in his van after the OEM starter failed. Great value and good quality.
Joe Barrale –
Ease of Installation has nothing to do with the product, that would depend on the way the vehicle was originally designed!!
Seems like a good quality product, working good after Installation!
So at this point all’s good, but the true telling will be in the test of time, if it holds up, longevity!
So on that point I do not know!!
I hope that it does, because it’s not fun getting stuck somewhere unexpectedly!!!
And with a starter problem you are stuck, no jump start is going to help you & it’s not something that can be done on the spot, at least for this vehicle!!!
My fingers are crossed that it stands the test of Time!
Thanks
