I had to replace the turbo on our Buick Encore 1.4l and during the removal of the turbo, the factory oil drain tube (plastic) crumbled into little pieces. I bought this one to replace it and it was identical to the factory tube and fit perfectly. This was in April of 2022.
It is now the end of April 2023 and just last week I noticed smoke coming from beneath my hood. After checking things out I found that this drain tube had cracked and was dumping oil onto my exhaust and side of my engine! It’s a good thing I noticed the smoke because if I had continued to drive the vehicle, it would have dumped all my engine oil onto the ground in no time (and then say bye-bye to my engine and turbo!).
I’m not being overly harsh on this review because this manufacturer clearly just duplicated what GM did… it was ultimately GM’s poor decision to use a hard plastic tube in a high heat environment for something critical (engine oil).
Do yourself a favor… get a steel drain tube! It’s going to cost you about twice what this one does, but you won’t need to replace it next year (or probably EVER). There’s a very well-known, respected brand that makes the steel tube (and it can be found right here on Amazon).

great product meditates and prime material
Amazon Customer –
Pipe was too long and did not seal properly. The plastic hose came disconnected from the metal part and oil drained from engine.

everything needed is included. the part and the clip on gasket was exactly what was needed for my 2016 buick encore 1.4L. product arrived as promised. i found a 1/4 rachet long extention and a 8 mm wobble socket worked well to remove and replace the part. the part was flexible enough to bend into the drainage port on the engine block.
Dylan –
This is obviously one of the cheap return lines, but If you can manage to get it bent into place and not squish the bottom tube pushing it down… It may infact do the job for some amount of time. I only purchased because of the next day shipping.

GM states that it’s supposed to be under warranty but refused to reimburse for my out of pocket repair. Claims the part is not a factory part. GM states that they have no parts available for the replacement.
GM states that I installed a part that cancelled my warranty due to the part is non-compliant. My car sat at the dealership for 12 weeks
