My husband fixed our lawn mower for 30 bucks vs putting in a new transmission for $1,000+ !!!

Spot on replacement for my K46ac transmission. Like my description says, they have changed the design of the gears to require less material, not sure if that is good or bad but the teeth are the same. The pins in this set had worn, causing the gears to wear, and then start skipping. I had to replace the large gear as well because the surface the pins sit on, on the big gear was chipped. If you are going to go to all the work to repair this you should replace all the wearing parts.

These parts were a perfect fit for my JD L130 with a K46 Tuff Torq transaxle. The original gears were very worn and these parts fixed my issues.
On another note, I cannot believe how bad the oil was in the transmission. I bought this mower used. It was manufactured in 2004. I am sure that the transmission was never serviced in any way. The oil looked like mud coming out. And there were a lot of metal filings attached to both of the internal magnets. The filter was absolutely plugged beyond any usefulness.
This is the first transmission that I have ever serviced. It wasn’t too bad but it probably took me 20 hours over a week or so to complete. There are 100’s of youtube videos with great pictures and advice. It was tricky to put the inside pump/engine mechanism back in place, but it is doable for any handy person with a little bit of patience.
I’m very glad that I decided to fix this myself. There are no other cost effective options available.
