The last thing I need is to have to drain my oil pan early because an experiment with saving a few pennies on aluminum / copper / generic drain plug washers didn’t work out.
These were priced reasonably enough to discourage me from even trying.

These oil plug gaskets were a great buy, although a little expensive than the off brand I previously purchased. Previously purchased an off brand prior to these and they were terrible. Prime Avenue are comparable to genuine, but some of the other brands are not good quality. I am happy with the genuine Toyota drain plug washers. I will only buy genuine from now on.

Upon installing one of these on my vehicle, the blue “felt” split and became separated from the washer face. Torqued to spec at 30 ft-lb and the blue stuff started squishing out from under the drain pan bolt. I’ve installed genuine Toyota drain plug washers and never had this happen. I included the lot number on the 2 packages of 10 washers I received (1Z16-3). I also included a closeup of a lot number from a bag I had purchased from a Toyota parts counter and the print on both the label as well as the lot number print look quite different. Will have to drain and redo my oil change because of this faulty washer.

These are the only drain plug gaskets I’m confident will not leak. I change the gasket at every oil change, so there’s no leaks, and I don’t have to over-tigten to get them to seal.
