The ability to position terminals for a users needs is a great feature of this item but the item is a bit bulky and find a finding suitable position may prove challenging. The lead terminal for the battery connection is a plus as non lead terminals found on competing products are too ridged and can break. Quality and materials are well suited for this application. Bear in mind when using this is the unit is intended for use on the positive terminal, the final position of the unit needs to ensure it is clear of potential grounding against nearby elements. I tried to attach to medium size battery on my tractor and could not find a suitable position for placement.

The side post battery disconnect works perfectly fine. The top post disconnect is a hard one to use on my boat battery because you it is not long enough for my battery hookups and if battery is put in a battery tray it is too high to turn knob off. I will have to figure another way to route leads to disconnect.

Easy to install and works great. I have a truck that i do not use very often and the battery is always dead when I try to start it after setting for a couple weeks. Now I pop the hood and turn on and bam it starts up. Only wish it had instructions but I must have it right. Works for me.

Easy to install and much more sturdy than cheap battery switches. Switching the battery is very smooth and positive. They could have included a spare Nylock nut for the case. They’re tiny and VERY easy to lose when assembling the unit (I did).

**Background:** We have an old beater Rav4 V6 “the beast”. Our kids beat on it when they come home from school and we use it the haul nasty stuff locally. So it often sits for several weeks. I’m pretty sure there’s some kind of parasitic drain. I don’t wanna spend all the time diagnosing and finding the short or bad wire since we only use the car occasionally. So a disconnect like this this seemed like a good solution.
**Build Quality:** So we have a boat and I have disconnect switches like this and they work really well. The build quality on this is similar name brand ones I’ve used on our boat. I think the name brand stuff just feels a little beefier. But the Trosfina is more than enough to do the job.
** Installation:** so it’s not necessarily a function of this device. But it is a little tricky finding the space for this. !!PRO TIP!! You may not be aware of this but you can change the orientation of the bars exiting the switch and you can slide and move around those little protective tabs so you could have those bars, leaving any of the four sides. If you do this, it’ll give you a little more room. For my application, I actually flipped the bars across from each other. That way less of the bar was actually sticking out because the bolts on the underside are actually staggered and if you exit one side more of the bar sticking out, and if you exit the other side less of the bar is sticking out. The other thing you should be aware of is when you turn it on those bars will be hot so you wanna make sure you don’t have any loose exposed wires or metal fittings in the area.
**Function:** This functions great you just turn knob and you completely cut off the power and eliminate any possibility of a parasitic drain. This will definitely save the battery life of any vehicle that you leave sitting for a long period of time. The only thing you have to watch for is how many continuous amps, your vehicle draws and a cold cranking amps.
**Conclusions:** I think this is a good deal for robust cut off switch. You just need to make sure that you have the space or your creative enough to make it fit because it is a rather large form factor for an automobile. If this is going in a boat or RV, I think that’s much less of an issue. I think the value is good.
