You get a set of two so that should last for a while. Plus each one has a cover for it to protect it while not in use, and also the plastic holder so you don’t get the tire shine all over your fingers. You can see how it works from my photos.

I appreciate the inclusion of a the case/lid, and that sort-of makes up for the price.
I can’t comment on the durability yet because I’ve only used it once since purchase and it worked perfectly to apply a generous portion of Gtechniq T1 tire dressing on to my tires.
I had product still remaining on the foam after applying on the last tire and this is where the lid really pays off, to store the applicator without the product drying out on it, or washing off the product from the foam.

I usually use tire spray for dressing my tires. For some reason, I purchased a tire dressing product that was in a cream form. I needed something for its application. I did not want to use a rag or sponge. This product was perfect for my needs. I spread the cream onto the surface of the applicator and then rubbed is onto the tire. It was just that simple. The applicator stayed strong throughout application of the dressing on all 4 tires. The material is thick enough to hold its shape through application but also soft enough to allow for smooth and even application of the cream. Please note that this cannot be used for scrubbing as the applicator material is too soft. I really like this product.

Bought another version of these several months ago. Works very well for applying tire shine products. Took off one star because the sponge material does wear down over time. Even at that they have held up for about a year and for the price I probably got my moneys worth. I do like that the newer version comes with a protective cover for storing.

They absorb more product than they actually applied to the wheels. Even if I sprayed the tire directly and used this to wipe and even the sprayed tire spray, it really just absorbed it thereby wasting too much product. This is a no for me.
