Mostly I have good things to say about this thread locker. Firstly, there’s an unusually large amount of information on the box, such as chemical composition, viscosity, curing time, and removal torque. Not sure it’s all that useful, but it’s nice to see it there.
There are two bottles: red for high strength and blue for medium strength.
* I like that they are relatively thick liquids so when you paint it onto the threads, it mostly stay put while you work with the screw. See pictures
* As a quick test, I painted a bit of locker onto two 1/4″ machine bolts (red on one, blue on the other), then twirled on the nuts and waited. According to the instructions, initial cure time is 15-20 minutes and fully cured time is 24 hours. I ran out of patience after about two hours and tried to remove the nut with a wrench and a vice. Interestingly, I couldn’t get the nut off for either the red or blue locker. What I mean is that even when I leaned quite strongly on the wrench, the wrench would only turn the nut with difficulty. It never really broke free. Maybe its behaviour would have been different if I’d waited the full 24 hours.
Bottom line: this thread locker works very well. The only down side is that I’m not convinced how “removable” the blue locker is – it seemed relatively permanent to me. But this was just a single test so hopefully others will weigh in with more information.

I would like to preface this review with this statement; “I do not order items that I do not intend to use myself or install myself for someone else.” Having said that;
It is NOT the name brand stuff, BUT, you are not paying the name brand price either. What you ARE getting is a thread locker that WILL work with SOME limitations. The “Blue” material I would liken to a “Nylock” nut type hold. In everyday kind of situations it will do it’s job very adequately and not fail. Used in a higher risk situation, that you would grab the Name Brand “blue” stuff……this will not hang in there for you.
The Red material I would rate at a level of ability to about fourth of the way between the Name Brand’s Blue and Red material. I would not hesitate to use this Red material in ANY situation that I would grab the Name Brand “blue” stuff. I would NEVER use this Red in any situation spec-ing the Name Brand “Red” material, period.
Overall, for general situations that are not subject to severe stresses, I use this. For the price it makes it perfect for these types of use. IF it’s critical…….break out the “Name Brand”

I was surprised by the size of the bottles and the price! I believe the two bottles combined are 100 ml. for just under $10. The other brand name I normally use is around $23 for 36 ml. That’s quite a difference, so my expectations were low. I used the blue first. It performed as advertised. I was able to break the nut free, but it took some pressure to do so. I then tried the red. Again, it performed as advertised. I attempted to break the nut free, but after applying adequate pressure and the nut not budging, I left it secured. I am very happy the way the product performed and very happy with the value of the product. I have already recommended it to friends and family.

This Blue and Red Thread Lock is easy to use, and it works great. The bottles are small/compact, and portable/travel-friendly. A little bit goes a long way though, so it’ll last me a long time. Each bottle has a cap too/they’re resealable, so they won’t dry out. This thread locker is really strong, and durable as well. Overall, I think it’s a good value for the price, and I’d recommend it!

Works as expected. Much better value than other brands for home use. In critical applications other brands may be better for chemical compatibility and ensuring quality. But for the DIY guy these are a good value that work.

This Yumcraft thread locker is a good value for the amount received. However, based on my testing, what you really get is two bottles that have different colored thread locker that have essentially the same strength. I tested both the red and blue thread locker on two separate 1/2×13 bolts. I cleaned both bolts as per the instructions, and applied an adequate amount of each and spun a nut on each bolt. I allowed the 24 hour dry time to each and then tried to remove the nut. With the blue thread locker, it was what I would call Very Difficult to remove the nut. It did come off, but with more effort than I thought should be required. On the bolt that had the red thread locker, which per the lable, should not be able to be removed without the addition of heat to remove. I found that the amount of force to remove the nut Was far greater than the blue, but I was able to remove the nut without any heat added. Now does that mean that the red thread locker failed, not necessarily, but I wouldn’t bet my life that it would hold as the listing suggests. For my everyday use I think the blue thread locker would be my go to choice, and the red will be used whenever I need a slightly more secured thread.
On a more positive note, the box it came in does provide everything one need to know about the product printed on the box itself without any additional instruction sheet inside the box. And again, for the amount given in each bottle, it is a far better value than buying it at the local stores. I would give it five stars, but for the fact that the red didn’t need any heat to remove. So one star deducted for that. One last thing, both the red and blue solutions were what I would call very close to a jell viscosity, which I thought was far better than some runny liquid. It was very easy to get the fluid where you wanted, and the right amount without running all over. Bottom line, Would I buy again, yes but only because it is a good value.
