The original cable lasted 20 years in our houseboat that gets used every week in the summer. When I had to replace it, I used this cable.
The replacement cable broke after three weeks of use. I’m glad I bought spare cables! Maybe I did something wrong in the installation. If the second cable breaks too early, I’ll downgrade my rating.

Make sure you tuck the wire all the way in so that it doesn’t kink when you press the pedal. If you install this correctly, this will last a long time.

Easy install. only need a 1/2” wrench to remove toilet bolts and some needle nose to slide the cable over. Easy install. Now is also the time to clean your toilet pretty well. Pretty straightforward.

Worked just like it said, exact replacement for old set. The only thing I didn’t appreciate is that the manufacturer left an important step from instructions. You have to add plumbers grease to the whole seal otherwise it won’t work.

The provided cable in this kit is crap. The original cable from 2012 lasted 11 years before breaking. This replacement cable lasted less than 3 months. Very poor quality stainless steel. I have replaced the cable four times with a year.
