Hooked it up in 5 min needed a self tap screw the one that comes with is junk it did not work at first I grabbed test light and was checking ground and hot with engine turning and I think it woke it up putting a current through it I read elsewhere it takes a minute to find it’s self then it gave a very consistent spark at the plug whole process 10 minutes. And that includes mostly finding tools screw and checking ground connections and jumping battery with another vehicle the actual unit maybe seconds to install for a tractor I could have played with point with the rest of my life every time it got humid outside I’m very happy

Instructions are minimal but installation went pretty well. As you can see the coil is under the flywheel on this older Tecumseh motor as well as the points and condensor. Once I figured out the correct connections and tested I was pleased to see such a strong spark. Mounting is simple.

Used this to replace points and condenser on a B&S 252701 11HP John Deere riding mower. Engine had no spark, took a guess and installed this. At this price, it was easier to just buy and put it in as opposed to doing lots of engine debugging.

Scrap heap Toro snowblower with a single cylinder 2-stroke 4.5hp engine. OE ignition module costs a ridiculous $250. This is a perfect substitute. Had to drill out the mounting hole to 1/4″ to fit a 6mm bolt through, which did not leave very much material, but if you’re careful, it’ll work. I then mounted it on the engine’s fan cover, using an existing bolt hole with a longer 6mm bolt, putting the supplied ground wire on the same bolt. Connect the ground wire to the negative (-). I will say, it doesn’t want to work unless it really has a good solid ground. The supplied mounting screw is just a sheet metal screw. I feel like a buzzy little engine would vibrate that loose quickly.

The polarity markings on this ignition module were very tiny and a little difficult to see, but the module worked as expected.

Product packaged well and as described. Order early as it takes longer to receive than disclosed
