Allowed me to install different backing plates to my Porter Cable 7424 polisher. No issues with the threads being cut wrong

I used this on my polisher that came with a 6 inch backer pad, I needed to use my 5 inch backer of and this adapter allowed me to do that.

I bought this to adapt my Porter Cable random orbital sander. Works great but WILL back out unless you use threadlock on the PAD side. No clue why the larger diameter is what backs out: Of course then you can’t change pads easily, but …
