This mount has some metal, probably aluminum, in its construction. And the metal bracket that holds your phone is longer, so you get enough extension for moving a motorized mount up and down, as compared to others that are not long enough to hold a motorized mount.
I’m uncertain whether this will damage your screen, especially if its overtightened, so I do not have it tightened to the max. I checked other reviews and online forums and didn’t see anything, so I’m assuming this is safe for daily use. For all of the above reasons, I’m recommending this particular unit.

Overall, it’s a decent product. Price is of market value. Does what it’s supposed to do. The material is just ok. Nothing to rave about or complain about.

The idea behind this mount is that it fits around the corner of your Tesla screen, tightens up and then you have a movable holder for the phone, allowing you to position it somewhere you like.
That means you *have* to have it on a corner. You can’t put it in the middle, and placing it on the lower corners results in the phone being in the way ( of your knees, or the console.. ) so it pretty much has to go on the top.
The tightening worries me a bit. The little rubber clamps only overlap a tiny bit, and that appears to be by design, since the screen has so little frame, and you *need* to touch the edges of it. But that makes it hard to position right – my first attempt fell off. But when you get it right, the tightening knob on the back can be *super* tight. The sortof tightness that you’d feel might crack your screen. So, keep an eye on that.
Once mounted though, it’s a good holder. It’s firm, it holds all kinds of sized phones. It has a channel to run a cable up to the charging port in the middle of your phone and it doesn’t get in the way of (my) vision out of the window.
Overall, good. Just be careful with the fitting.

This awesome Tesla phone mount I got! It’s super cool because it clips right onto your Tesla’s big screen without hurting it. The best part? It’s like having a mini robot arm – you just press a button, and BOOM, it opens up to grab your phone!
I love that it works with ANY phone (even my wife’s huge phone with its thick case), and you can spin it around any way you want. The mount has these soft pads that keep your screen safe – no scratches!
Just be careful not to tighten it too much, or it might crack your screen. But when you get it just right, your phone stays super steady, even on bumpy roads!
Quick tip: You can fold it away when you’re not using it – so neat

This is great quality & is functional and looks nice! We have this clipped directly onto our screen in front & it doesn’t scratch it! It holds securely, even when I accidentally ran into it and expected to knock it off. This is a great way to protect your investment!
I believe if you get this item, you will not be disappointed, it is pretty straightforward and exactly as the item is posted.
Here is my honest opinion on this item:
Excellent – If I absolutely love the product and it exceeds my expectation, I will actively suggest the product to my friends and would purchase it again myself as needed.
Less than Excellent – I really like this item and it does what the seller claims it would do. I would more than likely recommend it to someone if I knew they were looking for that product.
Sub Standard- This item is standard and for the most part does exactly what they say it does, but I would specify any differences. There may be things about a three star rating that I don’t like about the product. If I knew someone were looking for that specific item and I recommend it to them, I would also share with them the reservations that I have.
Not so great – I take low ratings seriously. I also take seriously issues with items after you have spent good money on them. In this case, I would probably never recommend anything that I would rate two stars on, in fact, I would probably warn people so they would shy away from buying this item.
You might want to find something else – It takes some serious issues to get a one star review from me. A bad product would do it though!

I really like this phone mount for my Tesla! It holds my phone securely and doesn’t block the screen or vents. The adjustable arm makes it easy to find the perfect angle, and it’s super simple to use with one hand. My only concern is making sure it’s not tightened too much to avoid pressure on the screen. Once adjusted properly, it’s very stable, even on bumpy roads. A great accessory for Tesla owners—just be careful with the installation! And it is little bit pricey.
