I use reversing solenoids a lot and this is the the best so far of the low voltage models for the price.

So far so good. Have dual hoists running on it wiring in parallel for occasional short periods of heavy use. Minor complaint is miniature sized coil screws…guess they don’t want much current on those 🙂 If it works for our three month season without a hitch I’ll be happy. During the entire 5yr. warranty period? Ecstatic

I bought this to reverse the lifts on my trailer. They work great but I needed 2 in order for it to work correctly, because you need a special reverse winding on the motor/winch.

Works for the Badland winches. Works as it should timely fashion delivery.

I’ve had two fail, but they’re alright… The relay does its job as an open center reversing relay. The wiring isn’t difficult to figure out and it does handle the rated load. However, the coil is not suitable for extended use. I’m using these for a small electric go kart with a PWM controller that limits the amperage to 150 amps, but it rarely ever sees this load. The first one was wired for straight 12V control and the coil burned up and shorted fairly quickly. Assuming the problem was heat buildup with the 4.5 ohm coil, I added a 30W 3 ohm resistor to reduce the coil voltage. The second relay lasted longer, but again failed, seemingly from an overheated coil. I’m going to order a third as a temporary replacement until I can find a suitably rated replacement.
