Used this to remove some old, baked-on decals and pinstripes from my truck, and I was genuinely impressed. Once I got the hang of it, the wheel stripped away the adhesive and vinyl way faster (and cleaner) than any chemical remover I’ve tried. Didn’t damage the paint either, which was my biggest concern.

The knobby, slotted design helps keep it cool while running, and the drill adapter fits standard drills just fine. It does wear down fairly quickly if you’re working on a big project, but for the price, it’s a solid tool to have in your garage.

Some tips if you’re using this for the first time:

Use a variable-speed drill and keep it around 1500–2000 RPM—too fast and you’ll risk burning the paint or gumming up the wheel.

Keep it moving constantly—don’t stay in one spot too long or it can heat up and smear the adhesive.

If you’re doing a lot of decals or stripes, get a second wheel ready. One wheel worked great on my tailgate and half a door, but it wore down noticeably.

Have some mild adhesive remover or detailing spray on hand to clean up any leftover residue.

Docking one star because it creates a lot of rubber dust and can get messy, but that’s kind of expected. Wear goggles and work in a well-ventilated area—it’s worth it for the results.

I bought a car that had been in a structure fire. Paint protection film had melted across the hood and I struggled to remove it as it was quite fragile. I found this and gave it a try. It works fast and easy, quickly removing the film. I did half the hood in 30 minutes; something I had spent hours trying to do by hand.

There is a problem with this thing, and that is the shank used to hold it to the drill. When you release the trigger for the drill, the interia of the eraser spins it right out of the shank. It did this for the first 15 minutes I was working. Every. single. time. It was extremely frustrating. So I started using it for longer durations. Bingo. Running it longer, tightened it more and it no longer spins out. This thing really needs a means to use a wrench to tighten the shank, or set screw to hold the shank in place.

If the eraser didn’t work, the shank alone would make this a 2 star item. The eraser works great taking it back to 5 stars. It was worth the frustration and learning to make the job so easy.

I was able to remove double sided foam tape fast and easy, I do recommend putting red loctite when you set it up. Every time I stopped the drill it would unscrew it self. The red loctite stopped this.

Works awesome. Takes glue, stickers, wrap, just about any stickers off. No scraping or marring the paint. Doesn’t leave anything behind except dust that can be wiped off easily. Works better than acetone or scrapers for removing stickers.

Mandrel comes loose when hand tight but if tightened in vice it won’t come loose. Easily reversible.

Worked well and last considerable amount of time

Works great, easy to use, took off a pinstripe that was there for 27 years with no trace

I used this to take off to take the adhesive that was baked on by the sun after parts of the decals had crumbled off. I didn’t use it to take the decals themselves off just the adhesive. It worked better than other things I had tried… heat gun (took the decals off and some of the adhesive under there but not the old baked on adhesive)…Goo Gone (did nothing)… Nail polisher remover (took the paint off but not the adhesive). This rubber eraser worked better than those and took it off a little of the old adhesive but more or less smeared the adhesive than taking it off.

The one thing that was real disappointing was how quickly it wore down. I used it for maybe 15 minutes off and on and it has really worn down in that little of time. I am not sure if its because I am using on aluminum or if this is just normal.

I guess I expected it to work better than it did. I think it would work good on decals that aren’t that old but for baked on adhesive… it doesn’t work well.
