Fiebing’s Leather Dye permanently changes the color of leather items. It is a true dye, meaning that it soaks into leather instead of just painting the surface. It dries to a matte finish — and although it is alcohol-based, it will leave leather feeling soft and hydrated. This dye comes in a wide variety of colors that can be applied as-is or mixed to create unique custom shades. It dries uniformly — so no matter how you apply it, you won’t end up with streaks or blotches on your dyed leather item. For less intense color, dilute with a dye reducer. Fiebing’s Leather Dye is for dyeing leather surfaces, not for coloring or finishing leather edges. This product is for natural leathers; it will not work on suede or synthetic leathers. Use a wool dauber, sponge, artist’s brush or spray nozzle to apply Leather Dye to purses, belts, shoes and boots, saddles and harnesses, and other natural leather items.
