Definitely need the rear shock extensions. Supreme Suspension makes a kit that is affordable and ads a couple inches to your rear shocks. I installed this kit without the rear shock extenders and got a real bad knock from the rear shocks. The truck sat at at a good hieght but the rear shocks were fully extended at rest. Everytime I went over a bump the rear shock would bang from being fully extended. After I installed the rear shock extenders the truck rides great and has a good ride hieght. Any taller and I won’t fit in my garage 😉

Well built good quality product. Look good once fully installed. Took quite a while by myself. Roughly 6 hours. Used 2 small floor jacks and 4 jacks stands total. Instructions are kind of confusing and left me asking ‘where and how’ a lot. But a simple look on YouTube AMD google solved all my questions. It is a good half day job if you want to do it right. Here is some advice I’ll give to everyone thinking of buying these..
1.) Rent a strut spring compressor (outside of the coil) from you local auto parts store.. You will need it to reinstall the rear springs after the 3″ spacer is installed. Its nearly impossible to reinsert the springs fully extended with a 3″ spacer.
2.) You WILL NEED REAR SHOCK EXTENSIONS!!! unless you want to totally mess your shocks/car up. The shocks will be fully extended just sitting still. So going over any bumb will over extend them.

bought this for my wifes 2008 tahoe ltz. my beautiful wife is 5′ and i thought it would be funny to lift her tahoe when she wasnt looking so i told her that i had to replace the flux capacitor on the tahoe and made her take my charger for the day. This kit was really not too bad to install, i’ve done harder and easier but overall i’d say more on the easyside. It did take me 6 hrs, 12 coors lights, and a bottle of johnnie double black to get it installed. i did put on some 34’s and new rims at the same time. But for the price of seeing my little wife try to get in it the first time when she got home it was all worth it. Tahoe looks great and rides a little rougher but not too bad. Wife was mad at me for awhile but got over it when she realized shes got the baddest tahoe round town now.

I bought this believing it would be a better quality then the 100$ or less kits. Nothing is lined up. The plates are welded on wrong to the point you can’t even put the nuts on them. I had to cut apart and re weld everything. Sadly that was easy because there is less then 2 inches of “cold” welds on each part. At the least I would like a partial refund to even make this worth my time. Directions for rear shock extenders say they are for the front in all of the papers.. Buyer beware. The cheaper kits are better.

Installed this kit on my 2011 chevy tahoe. As long as you do not have rust on your vehicle, it was a very straight forward install. I recommend buying shock extensions for the rear, having something to cut bolts to size on the top of your front coils and just YouTube some videos for some nice tutorials. You cannot get your vehicle aligned without a new upper control arm rated for a 2-4 inch lift. Hope this help and goodluck.

Materials are well built and it provides a decent lift for a very affordable price. I will update soon with pictures. ***UPDATE*** So I have had this kit on now for a few months. The front lift does put a lot of stress on your upper control arms, I had to purchase new ones because mine were shot. Rough country makes a set that is designed for a 3.5-5 inch lift. Other then that it still is going strong.
