Followed the instructions to a tee, with a hair blow dryer. The dryer speeds things up and gives a semi-matte, satin finish when dried. Yes, the most nerve wracking part is actually sanding the leather, I recommend just do several light sweeps than one hard one as depending on the age of the leather, the sanding pad can really dig into it. Fortunately my steering wheel already have pits, and I already ordered also the black filler so I was able to patch the extra damage I caused.
Took me couple hours to do the job as it’s my first time to do it, especially with waiting for the filler I plugged on the pits to dry. I reckon, I can do it in 20-30 minutes tops next time.
Leather felt midly rough when completed but after applying the dye/friction blocker and having driven the car for couple of days, everything is smooth and supple now. Would highly recommend.

I rarely post reviews but found this product and had to write something. I was very skeptical about buying this because I thought it was a lot of money for something that wasn’t guaranteed to work. But, I wanted to try something before resorting to a steering wheel cover that feels bulky and ugly. I followed the instructions exactly how it said. I was patient like other reviews stated. It worked perfectly. The steering wheel looks almost brand new. There used to be vinyl pieces that would come off whenever I drove. It’s smooth and the correct color now. I did one extra coat of sealant after this picture was taken just for extra measure and it turned out great.

BMW 535i. I was very skeptical about a DYI leather covered steering wheel restoration but decided to order and attempt.. WOW was a difference, very, very easy and quick – 1st pic is before and 2nd is after. I spent total of 30 minutes for everything. Massive improvement even after 1st application. I did 3 coats but have plenty left over. Time will tell how it hold up. Everything you need in kit.

After 120,000 miles my leather steering wheel in my Mazda was really showing signs of use. I ordered this kit from Geist, a relatively unknown company. I was a bit skeptical that it would bring my wheel back to like new condition. Let me tell you, not only was it easy to use and provided everything needed to complete the job but the results are perfection!!! As a part time detailer I’m very picky and detail oriented person. This kit surpassed my expectations. Time will tell how long the repairs last but the initial results are amazing!!! I heard that the people who started this company used to work for ColourLock but branched out on there own.

Removed absolutely every spec of oil and grease from my steering wheel. Very easy to use and complete kit. Haven’t tried the black die yet but i am sure the result will be good.

I’m really disappointed with the results from this product. First of all, the cloths they provide in the package they produce a lot of lint, which is something you want to avoid at all cost. And second, as I was applying the dye onto the steering wheel, I noticed was it leaving a lot of particles on the surface of the steering wheel. I believe those particles came from the foam they provided. The foam was disintegrating when I was dabbing the dye on. After the dye dried, it left a real rough surface on the steering wheel, it almost feel like sandpaper. Eventually, I will have to sand everything down and do it all over again, but this time I will use a premium product, not this garbage.

Wish I had a before and after pic to show you, but trust me when I say this actually works. We have a 2018 rogue and the steering wheel rubbed off, this fixed it. It’s a 2 day project but well worth it. Be sure to open all of the windows as you apply to your steering wheel as the smell can be quiet pungent. Very easy to follow instructions and overall easy to use. It looks like factory steering wheel after and the color match is on point. Definitely recommend and will be purchasing in the future if needed.

It took a couple of times to get my sterring wheel to look good.
The only thing I would suggest is the cloth they send to wipe everything down. It need to be more of a softer cloth as it tends to have pieces stick to the sterring wheel. Seems to be made of cotton, I would sugggest a different type of product. Other than that, everything worked great and my sterring wheel looks much better.
