Worked and a good price
Amazon Customer –
Quick delivery, part fit like a charm and works great!

I Purchased this starter for a 2008 Polaris sportsman 500, although I ordered a familiar named starter, the one I received was not of that brand, in fact it has no name on it whatsoever, but aside from that it works great, haven’t had it for long but the machine starts every time without any problems. Amazon was great as well with free two-day shipping

Looks exactly like the original for a 1999 Polaris scrambler 500. Starter seems to work good, one click of the start button and engages right away. The only negative quality about this starter is that it sounds way different from the original starter when ingaged and in my opinion I like the original sound of factory starter way better.

Replaced into a 2005 Sportsman 500 HO and worked like a charm for 5 years and just replaced it again. I only got 8 years out of the original factory starter to why spend the extra $150? Great buy.

Best cheap aftermarket Polaris starter I’ve ever purchased. It lasted through daily use for 5 years. That’s longer than my original equipment replacement lasted.

I have a 2006 Sportsman 500 HO (which is one of the models it’s a pain to replace this) and I was going to rebuild my starter because new ones from Polaris are so expensive. Saw this and thought I’d give it a try. Fit PERFECTLY. Looks identical physically, but most importantly, it works great. Our group has 5 of these bikes and we have replaced 3 of the starters so far, we will be re-ordering this when the next one goes!

I ordered and installed first one on my 2006 Polaris Sportsman 500. After a very difficult and time consuming install found out it was junk as it would barely turn over briefly and then stop. I returned it via amazon return and ordered a second starter. I received the second one promptly and tested it before installing. It spun just fine and after installing it seems to work just fine. Time will tell how long it lasts. FYI installing one of these on a 2006 500 Sportsman is very very difficult without the factory tools to remove the clutch etc. It can be done be I don’t recommend it unless your mechanically inclined and have a ALOT of patience. Hopefully the starter lasts awhile. I will update my review if it does not.

Everything fit and worked just like it should.

This starter fit perfectly into my 2008 Polaris sportsman HO. I was quoted at my local Polaris dealer for a replacement OEM starter at approximately $450. I found this starter and was wary do to the extremely low price point but I figured I could get 9 of these for the price of 1 OEM starter. Once installed, my ATV fired up very smoothly and sounds great.
