Ordered this Starter for Kohler Replacement – 2509811 – for my Cub Cadet 23 HP Kohler engine.
My old OEM one finally shorted out and quit. It had been dragging over past few months and recently would not even kick in to start engine at all. While recently shopping online for some mower blades,
I saw this replacement starter and after reading about it and looking up my OEM part numbers and matching them, I ordered this one. Glad I made this choice as I had ask a local dealer about one and they ask me (2) prices for one starter. This seems to be a well made/built starter. I like that it’s a good heavy weight one just like my OEM one. It took approx (1) hour to change them out. It was exact fitment.
It started right up just like when mower was new. I also like that it has rigid steel teeth, not like some that were plastic. Works great!. Happy with order

Powerful little starter motor for my 25 horse Kohler that I installed on my International Harvester lawn tractor. The starter is easy too install and it functions as it should. These starters are durable and the fit is spot on. For the price these are a fair value.
