When you remove the sensor I use the video “98 Ford Escort SE Speed Sensor Removal Easy Way” on Yt. After I changed the sensor the motor stop overloading and the rpm reduce a lot (When you press the clutch). Excelente quality.
I changed because the transmition oil was leaking on the sensor.

92 Escort Wagon. OK. Ford decided to omit a dipstick for your manual transmission. For whatever reason you had to add fluid and wanted to know if there was too much/not enough…
You attempted to remove but the corrosion made you think this was actually part of the transmission. After hammer, chisel, heat gun, torch, vise grips, etc. You finally removed it and it is broken.
No fear. You have the 85 mph speedometer and wonder why that sensor is so much more than this one???
You can either upgrade to a 120mph speedometer. Or even easier, change the white gear on your old one in place of the red gear.
Yeah! Hopefully the nightmare is over. If you ever run into the engineer that decided to not have a fluid level plug, site glass, or dip stick; you know where to stick the extra gear…
