This Ignition and key worked great at a great unbeatable price . I am a Mechanic and i mostly buy Parts on Amazon Due To you can get OEM Parts Cheaper here than in town for Cheaply Made Parts that are more expensive and less quality. I only Want to Do The Job 1 Time !!! Cheaply made parts i wont do it any more . Im cant remember if this said OE Quality But it has Not Failed and this was Cheaply priced However It Is Still Working great In The Truck it was installed into . Came With 2 Keys Great Deal !!!

Bought a MINT 88 Jeep Wrangler a few years ago, shipped it to the US from Hawaii, and quickly discovered the ignition switch was “fickle” so to speak. It wouldn’t turn off, and the key came in and out freely while the engine was running. It looked like the prior owner had replaced it at some point too, and I am guessing they put in a cheap subpar part. I finally go around to calling shops to bring the Jeep in to replace the ignition cylinder (they were quoting me $350-$500!), when I decided to check Youtube and found an EXCEPTIONAL instructional video that made this a 25 minute job from start to finish in my very own driveway. Bought the Standard 117LT via Prime, had it in my hands the next day thanks to overnight shipping, installed great and is seemingly (at first glance) a nice quality ignition cylinder. Comes with 2 keys too. Immediately fixed the issue and my ignition works as it should. VERY happy to not have to “pop the clutch” to turn the Jeep off anymore and disconnect the battery because the old ignition switch would never turn off and it would drain the battery. And like my headline says, works on an 88 Wrangler like it was an OEM part. Recommended!!

I bought this for my 1979 International Harvester Scout II and it slides in and works but doesn’t have the tab to fix it in place, so it pulls right back out. I ordered a different model recommended on the forums.
