I waited too long for a return…the crown on the threads that bolt into the engine block were not machined properly. The threads were flat on the tops and didn’t allow the part to thread into the hole. I had to go to the auto parts store and buy another one. Oddly enough, the part the guy handed me was the exact item I bought here. Checked the threads on this one, and they looked good. The part worked as expected. It was good to have my oil pressure gauge working again.

I was THIS CLOSE to dropping the trans on my ranger and swapping the rear main…until I realized that the oil and grease coating the entire rear of the motor and trans may come from this. One 15 minute install later and the underside of my truck has been oil free for the past month! You’d be surprised how much oil can get past the factory original once the locktite dries up and fails.

Good part at a fair price. TAKE NOTE: This fits Fords with an oil pressure gauge. If you only have a warning light, this probably isn’t for you. The part selection program sent me the wrong version first time around, so I had to reorder to get this one. Once installed, gauge worked as desired.
With the money you save compared to a dealer part, get the socket made for the purpose Makes the job much easier than using pliers.
