    Worked perfectly to replace the stock crank shaft in my non hemi 212. I was wary to purchase because other reviews were mixed. But did not regret it.

    Update September 17th: I used this crank a few times on Brush and the most recent time was on privet bushes, kinda green, no hard wood at all AND THE CRANK SHAFT SNAPPED. Changing my review to 1 star. Now I gotta take the whole chipper/shredder apart again and buy another brand. I would avoid this as I’m lucky where it snapped was semi contained. My kids were helping me chip/shred brush/bushes and if anything would have happened……

    Original Review:
    This was an easy swap for my 212cc Predator non-hemi motor. Get a gasket kit to go along with this swap (you’ll probably need it) and some RTV for the seals, quart of 10W-30 and you’ll be good to go. A small length of nylon rope to lock the piston in place when re-installing it will help too.
    I bent a Crank on my harbor freight wood chipper with a bunch of brush on the ground so I had to fix it quick.

    Not sure why there are so many returns for this, maybe it’s luck of the draw as to which crank you get but I ordered one (reading reviews saying its for hemi, and reviews saying its not) as a gamble and got the correct one. So far so good.

    if you have a clone honda gx engine such as the non hemi predator 212 or the tilitson 212 or the honda gx itself, this is the wrong crankshaft, not the companys fualt, nor is it a manufacturing mistake.
    why is or how is it different? becasue the crank that connects the connecting rod is smaller and is meant for the hemi or 196cc engines
    the title shouldve been more clear about that.

    So far the crank hasn’t snapped on me. it gets very rusty.

    I have a predator 212cc and used it on a minibike.

    This crankshaft has a 3/4″ output shaft and the correct rod journal diameter and stroke for a stock connecting rod. The crank appears to be nicely machined. It has been installed and now has several running hours with no problems. The included gasket set was properly packaged and the gaskets and seals are OE quality parts

    I had a wood chipper from Harbor Freight and the crankshaft sheared at the case. This seems to be a prefect fix and took less that an hour to replace. The only problem was it did not come with the two oil seals pictured. I purchased them locally because it wasn’t worth the hassle to return it.

    A 196cc 6.5 motor on a mini bike is the opposite of this ,yes you can build a motor with the drive side on the right side of the bike but 99% are on the left,,just ask yourself ,,how many motor cycles have you ever saw not shift on the left side of the bike? Thank you an have a great day
