I installed this in my 1995 Toyota T100, manual transmission.
It was a good bit longer than the original part but I tried to install it anyway. The grommet does not fit in the hole through the firewall.
When it was working the speedometer was a bit shaky and it didn’t seem like it was spinning smoothly.
I did my best to prevent kinks in the cable due to extra length, but after 80 miles the cable failed and now doesn’t transmit enough power to turn the speedometer.
I found one website that says the manual transmission version requires part 83710-34080, not 83710-34090, so maybe this is my fault. It appeared to be compatible based on my vehicle info so maybe it’s Amazon’s problem, I don’t know. I can’t find anyone selling that part number, but anyway I didn’t discover the problem until now. Anyway, be careful and make sure this is what you need.
