I bought these for my Son, and he installed them on my 2003 Ford Expedition rust bucket and said they worked perfectly with no alterations required.
Prior to installing these the rear gas strap completely rotted in two, only had 98,000 miles on it. But it is a ford and well every single brake line has rusted out as well, I am not sure why my Fords always rust out but they do.
I was so worried about the gas tank just hanging there on one strap, but my kid went ahead and swapped out both straps with these and now I am back in business without worrying I was going to lose the tank driving down the road.
