Fit f53 motor home with a,few modifications to hangers. Works great.

Fit my 1989 bronco, make sure to verify what size your sending unit is and purchase the correct tank. This is the smaller sending unit tank which worked for me, but the larger hole tank also said it would fit my truck. Verify before you buy. This one fits in the truck well, the pinch welds where the 2 halves meet is a little wider than factory, had to hit the tank with my purse a few times while applying pressure with a floor jack for it to squeeze between the frame channels.

Perfect fit

The last think you want in a replacement gas tank is one that doesn’t fit. It’s too large–the length and width are about 1/16″ – 1/8″ more than the opening formed by the frame rails. This also means replacing the vapor valve because it’s cheap plastic and also its seal. Hopefully, the fuel pump survived all the banging around trying to get it to fit. Poor job by Spectra Premium. If I could give it negative stars I would.

Exact replacement (except without rust hole) for the original fuel tank on my 1989 full sized Bronco. Comes with new seal and lock ring. Be sure and check if you need the small, or large opening. It’s easy to tell if you look at pictures of both tanks together. The valley just behind the opening is twice the size on the large opening tank. Look just behind and above the rear end of tour truck. Should be obvious.

The tank is exactly what i needed! But the lock ring kit was cut open and had nothing in it! It may have fallen out during transport the box had cuts all over it for the drivers dragging it around. Other than that very well built product. Still gets five star with missing parts.

To be honest I don’t rate things. However, when buying I look at ratings other people have posted to help me decide. Maybe in like manner this will help you. Ford Broncos enjoy a classic status so to speak. It is encouraging to find so many products available when trying to find parts for older vehicles. I needed a fuel tank. I needed a good price and I needed to feel confident that I would have little to no problems with installation- I didn’t want to have to modify anything. I’m happy to report that all these criteria were met. The Spectra tank fit perfectly, came with the necessary seals, and bolted into place just like the original. One word of caution is that the seal and lock nut that holds the fuel pump assembly in place was lost during shipping. Luckily I live in a rural area-most everyone knows everyone, and I simply had to ask UPS if they had come across it, as I described the missing pieces, they knew they had it and dropped it off the next day. Ask Spectra to TAPE it to the tank!
