For some reason it made my truck run worse then with the faulty one. Maybe I got a bad one. But it was easy to install packaged nicely.

Bolts on easily! Feels great to see this brand new coil pack after mine was all rusted and faded. Installed with new wires that came with grease already and snapped on great! Some didnt make the click sound on the coilpack end but still seated very good. Feel great idle and start ups easier. I have yet to confirm any difference in MPG. Hotter spark for sure.

Put in a 98 Ford F-150. Installation takes minutes, it took care of my misfire and is of very high build quality.

Normally I wouldn’t care and just buy another one but access to the coil pack is a pain. So having to do this twice in 30 days wasn’t fun. Also to add insult to injury, I missed the return window by 3 days… Bummer. Oh well. Ended up buying one from O’reilys for a little more but at least I have a year warranty.

1998 Ford Ranger XLT with 3.0 V6 This was the one (505) that worked for me. I tried the 507, which claimed to also be a fit, but the harness connector pointed horizontally, not vertically. The stock item and the 505 both have the connector in a vertical orientation. The 507 also seemed to have different firing order than the stock item. the 507 would not run without misfiring, and would not stay running. The 505 ran smooth the moment it went in. This is admittedly the day of install, but I will try to update at a later date.

This Coil Pack Distibruter (4.2L V6) is perfect addition to my 2001 3.8L V6 Mustang build. If you want to upgrade to this coil pack(stronger firing) you need to get the pigtail from the 4.2L and wire the power wire to the opposite side of the 3.8L. All the rest follow in the same lineup. You will then need to bump the ground up as you can only bolt it onto the intake(same location as old one) with 2 screw bolts. So I advise running a direct ground wire to the unit. The firing order is also clocked. So you need to wire plugs 1,2,3top-4,6,5bottom. But this takes a bit of trial and error in some cases to understand… Just understand you’re spark cylinders. Then remember the coil packs firing is 1,2,3,4,5,6clockwise top to bottom
Then plug in you’re own firing order accordingly.
