I’m reasonably compulsive about keeping my car clean, inside and out, the exterior polished and waxed to near-perfection, or as near as possible given my daily driver is now two decades old. Over the years I have tried many, many tire treatment products – spray on liquids and foams and creams from all the usual suspects like Armor All, 3M, Meguiars, Eagle One, Griot’s… on and on. The sprays are a pain – you have lots of cleaning up to do after each application. The wipe on treatments I’ve tried before seem to leave way too much sticky residue and are prone to getting thrown around the first time you drive away. And no matter what I’ve tried, nothing seems to be very durable – I would have to treat my tires every few days to maintain the look I want, and often I can’t get around to doing that.
Holy cow, as Scooter would say — why didn’t I try this stuff before? It’s a gel, it’s concentrated and it really does the job. Apply it with a clean rag, or with one of those curved foam applicators you will see here on amazon (look at the Eagle One applicators that amazon sells in two packs – you can get a dozen for less than a ten spot). I put a small amount on a rag and massage it into the sidewall of a clean, dry tire. Let it sit overnight. Wipe it with another cloth to remove any excess – there won’t be much — and to buff it to a bit more of a shine. You will have a nice smooth surface on your tires — sort of a semi-gloss finish like a new tire. You will not have tire gel thrown onto your rims, wheel wells and paint when you drive off. And you will have clean, semi-glossy tires for quite a long time. I last applied Sonax to my Pilot Super Sports two weeks ago, and we have had more than our share of rain (and hail!). The tires still look pretty darned nice, after three or four washes and a good bit of foul weather driving.
In short, this is the best tire treatment I’ve ever used. It may seem pricey, but a little goes a long way, and I don’t think the cost per application is more than the competition. It’s GREAT.

I have 4 different so called the “best” tire gels in my collection. This is the best by far from Germany. You have to “massage” it into the sidewalls. It lasts for 3-4 weeks and longer than any other I have tried in the last 7 years. Before that it was amour all and other various brands. So this works for me.

I always used spray tire shine and I’m starting to get into car detailing. First time using a gel based tire shine and it’s amazing. Less messy and last longer. Thr shine does vary. My first time using it it dried up quick, but if you want that gloss look just apply more. Highly recommend this product to anyone wanting to apply tire shine in a cleaner way.

I’ve recently fallen in love with a variety of Sonax products. Their products are straightforward, simple to use and above all; they work! The Tire Gloss Gel is no different. It definitely lasts WEEKS and not DAYS. I used a curved tire dressing applicator and it’s a breeze to apply. Makes your tires look new and doesn’t sling (as with all products like this, make sure to let it dry before driving).
As others have said, it doesn’t really give that gaudy, shiny, wet look; which in my opinion is a good thing.

Excelente duración y brillo, no se usa tan poco como dice la publicación o videos tutoriales pero su duración compensa este hecho.

If you like super glossy tires, this product is for you! Very impressed on how glossy it is & how glossy it stays. The trick is to apply it in light coats. It will tack off and actually stay on the tire. I’m not sure how it reacts as far as on a daily driver…..but I’m impressed with it on my truck that I show.

I’ve been an avid detailer for over 30 years, and I’m a total sucker to try new products (Although I do my homework a bit before I buy, or rarely buy on impulse).
I’m very familiar with Sonax products, as well as Klasse, P21S, Chemical Guys, Griots and a myriad of other brands/products. So many today compared to 30 years ago.
I have to say this tire gel works “Okay” but I was a bit disappointed in the application of it, especially when it’s cold outside. When it gets fairly cold the viscosity of it turns to almost like Honey, and it becomes more difficult to apply. Granted, that’s an environmental issue more than anything. But I found it to not “Glide” on very well. I had to work it in pretty good. Not a huge issue, but I typically like the products to go on easier, like the Klasse dressing (oil based), that stuff’s a marvel.
However, I didn’t find the longevity of this to be that great. And considering the price, my stance became that it would make more sense to go with cheaper, off the shelf tire coatings (Sprays) that didn’t last as long, but were far easier to apply (for instance, Armor-All (which I haven’t used in Decades) but you get the point).
One tire dressing I have found to be pretty good, and it lasts just as long as the Sonax, is the “Prolong” super protectant dressing. This works quite well, and you can buy it in gallons, and the consistency is a bit easier to use. It also doesn’t wash off easily like most others. https://www.amazon.com/Prolong-Super-Lubricants-PSL60017-Protectant/dp/B004URDTVQ/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=prolong+dressing&qid=1577152146&s=pet-supplies&sr=1-3-catcorr
Anyway, I’m not bashing Sonax, they make some good products (Although I didn’t like their glass cleaner very much .. Sorry Sonax).
